== Band ==

Akira is a ] 3-piece ]/] band. They formed in a car-crash on November the 9th 2001 in the sleepy university town of ], ]. Their aim was simple: make noise and have fun. After a year of perfecting their patented sonic assault they began playing small local shows and garnered lots of positive feedback. Then in the early summer of 2003 they released “Demonstration” a three-track CD that included the fan-favourite “81 Minutes.” After further perfection of their live incarnation they recorded a second demo which they termed 'Selections of Modern Music E.P.' This was released in the autumn. Finally, in the summer of 2004 they relocated their operations to ] where they began phase two of their evil masterplan...

They have been comapared to such notable names as: ], ], ] and ]. And played with bands as varied as: ], ] and ].

They enjoy walks in the park and watching sunsets with loved ones.
