Hello! I'm ''']'''. I am a writer, game developer, project manager, cryptologist, webmistress, public speaker, world-traveler, and appreciator of all kinds of different subcultures. :)
I've had a Misplaced Pages account since September 16, 2005, made my 1000th edit on January 19, 2006, and was ] in December 2007.
I am also consideered "Notable": ] (thanks to ] for helping with that).
As of 2021 I have created or put major work into over 500<!-- 537, 11/2014 --> Misplaced Pages articles, and have made , which I guess puts me somewhere in the top 1200 of ].
Much of my time is spent either writing/improving articles, or working on some of the above WikiProjects. Before becoming an admin, I especially enjoyed helping out with ], trying to ensure that every single article either has a category, or is at least flagged as needing one. Since I became an administrator, I have been helping out in other areas, such as reviewing the ], and helping out at ]. I was also one of the people chosen by ] for the 2008 ], and have experimented with some different techniques on addressing this chronic problem. I wrote some stuff for the "New Admin school", like ].
] | |||
Of the articles that I've worked on, the ones that I am most proud of include: {{icon|FA}} ], {{icon|FA}} ], {{icon|FA}} ], {{icon|GA}} ], {{icon|GA}} '']'', {{icon|GA}} ], {{icon|GA}} ], {{icon|GA}} ], ], ], and ].
For my day job, I'm a , ], and a published author. My book '''' was published internationally in 2006, I have written a couple articles about the CIA's encrypted '']'' sculpture, and co-wrote in 2020 with crypto-blogger ]. As a hobby, I maintain some popular websites on the subject of cryptography, especially '''' and other , and I show up on . I'm also a public speaker, usually giving talks on the subjects of games, Misplaced Pages, ], or cryptography.
Misplaced Pages is one of my favorite hobbies, and I love writing articles, helping behind-the-scenes, and giving lectures about how members of the public can better be positively engaged with their own Misplaced Pages experiences. :) I think Misplaced Pages is an amazing concept that is going to continue to grow quite rapidly. I often scan through the ] that are flowing in at a rate of over a thousand per day, and I am humbled by the sheer quantity of information that's accumulating in this massive project. I am very proud to be a part of it.

Hello! I'm Elonka Dunin. I am a writer, game developer, project manager, cryptologist, webmistress, public speaker, world-traveler, and appreciator of all kinds of different subcultures. :)
I've had a Misplaced Pages account since September 16, 2005, made my 1000th edit on January 19, 2006, and was approved as an administrator in December 2007. As of 2021 I have created or put major work into over 500 Misplaced Pages articles, and have made over 70,000 edits, which I guess puts me somewhere in the top 1200 of active Wikipedians.
Much of my time is spent either writing/improving articles, or working on some of the above WikiProjects. Before becoming an admin, I especially enjoyed helping out with categorization, trying to ensure that every single article either has a category, or is at least flagged as needing one. Since I became an administrator, I have been helping out in other areas, such as reviewing the Misplaced Pages dispute resolution process, and helping out at Arbitration Enforcement. I was also one of the people chosen by the Arbitration Committee for the 2008 Working group on ethnic and cultural edit wars, and have experimented with some different techniques on addressing this chronic problem. I wrote some stuff for the "New Admin school", like the Administrators Guide on dealing with disputes.
Of the articles that I've worked on, the ones that I am most proud of include: Knights Templar, Franco-Mongol alliance, Pauline Fowler, Fustat, The White Bird, David Lucas (composer), Linda November, Black Stone, Dirty Dancing, Mongol Empire, and Sempad the Constable.
For my day job, I'm a professional game developer, Agile Coach, and a published author. My book The Mammoth Book of Secret Codes and Cryptograms was published internationally in 2006, I have written a couple articles about the CIA's encrypted Kryptos sculpture, and co-wrote Codebreaking: A Practical Guide in 2020 with crypto-blogger Klaus Schmeh. As a hobby, I maintain some popular websites on the subject of cryptography, especially Kryptos and other famous unsolved codes, and I show up on TV or in the news every so often. I'm also a public speaker, usually giving talks on the subjects of games, Misplaced Pages, geocaching, or cryptography.
I often scan through the new articles that are flowing in at a rate of over a thousand per day, and I am humbled by the sheer quantity of information that's accumulating in this massive project. I am very proud to be a part of it.
This user is an administrator on the English Misplaced Pages. (verify · RfA) |
