However Emery's seed sale proceeds have been properly taxed and reported to the government from the beginning, and has been donated to political movements worldwide. From that perspective he would absolutely be a political prisoner in the event that the US is successful. Furthermore, since the length of Emery's sentence will depend on whether he regrets what he did or not (which is a blatant question of his political ideas) it's safe to say that he will be in prison for his beliefs. Re-add Abdullah "Apo" Öcalan to the list
On 13 November 2022, Misplaced Pages user Savy Wotton removed Abdullah Öcalan from the heading infobox, noting that "abdullah öcalan is not a political prisoner, is a terrorist". Later it was discovered that that account was a sockpuppet of user CarlostheJackal01. The investigation from 2022-2023 reveals multiple abuses of pages relating to highly politicized topics, including articles such as List of terrorist incidents in 1970, Falls Curfew, List of criminal enterprises, gangs, and syndicates, Corporate crime, and War crime, straying away from neutral language, and as FDW777 put it, "Usual focus on terrorism in Turkey related articles".
The webpage for Öcalan already had discussions about the legitimacy of referring to him as a political prisoner; see: Talk:Abdullah_Öcalan/Archive_2#Not_a_political_prisoner.
Major points from this previous discussion:
