==Role of Soviet Union== |
I'm undecided whether it is correct to put Soviet Union as belligerent or as supporter in the infobox. I do tend to see USSR's role as supporter and hence changed its status in the infobox, despite the actual involvement of Soviet fighter pilots in engagements against Israeli Air Force. The reason is that through most of the conflict, USSR was mostly providing weaponry and military advisors to Arab countries, while actual involvement of Soviet pilots was limited and not a public announcement of war. This is more or less the parallel supporting role of the US on the Israeli side, albeit somewhat more aggressive. Any other opinions?] (]) 08:41, 23 October 2023 (UTC) |

There is a glaring typo in the info box. The intended word is "rapprochement," not "approachment," which, as far as I can tell, is not actually a word. Rapproachment is a French word for the resumption or establishment of harmonious relations, which I believe is the intended meaning since it makes perfect sense in context. Someone please fix this. {{ping|Parham wiki}} What argument are you basing this claim on?
