Hầu A Lềnh (RPA: Hawj A Lees; CHV: Hơưx A Lênhs) is a Vietnamese Hmong ethnic politician. He is currently serving as Minister and Chairman of the Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs.

In the Communist Party of Vietnam, he is a member of the 13th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Committee for Nationalities.

Early life and education

He was born on 22 June 1973 in Tả Van, Sa Pa, Lào Cai province.

He has a master's degree in plant science. He joined the Communist Party of Vietnam on 18 January 1994, officially from 18 January 1995.

• On 6 January 2018 at the 8th Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Conference (session VIII), The conference unanimously elected the position of Vice President–General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front
• On 21 February 2018, holding the position of Deputy Secretary of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front
• On 8 April 2021, at the 11th session, he was elected as Minister by the 14th National Assembly of Vietnam, Chairman of the Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs for the 2016–2021 term at the request of the Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính
• On 12 April 2021, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front held a consultative conference to remove him from the position of Vice Chairman–General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front
• On 28 July 2021, at the first session, he was elected as Minister by the 14th National Assembly of Vietnam, Chairman of the Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs for the 2021–2026 term at the proposal of the Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính
