According to wikipedia "Vancouver, Washington" was incorporated in 1867. Gastown was the name of this town before it was renamed some 20 years later in 1886 to Vancouver, British Columbia according to wikipedia "Vancouver".

:::I think it's still a bit unclear. When looking at it, it's hard to see if the rank refers to the density or if it's on the same level as population. Especially since city population doesn't have a rank but metro does. Maybe we could add it to the end of the population number for the city too? E.g:
