	Total area of Garhi Habibullah was 29000 Kanal which was divided equally among <s>4</s><ins>5</ins> Hundis and 4000 Kanal was left Shamlat between these 5 Hundis which is still Shamlat in today era.This page is just for the historic knowledge of Garhi Habibullah and now many lands have been sold to other people by the descendants of these Hundis. These five people were actually from Pakhal and came here to defend borders of Pakhli Sarkar from the nearby Kashmiri Kingdom of Maharaja.

Garhi Habibullah Khan is a small city and union council (an administrative subdivision) of Mansehra District in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. It is named after Khan Habibullah Khankhail Swati, the Khan of Garhi and Chief of Swati tribe from 1810 to 1830. It is located in Balakot Tehsil and lies to the east of district capital Mansehra, towards the Kashmir frontier (near to Muzaffarabad the capital of Azad Kashmir). It was affected by the 2005 Kashmir earthquake.

Garhi Habibullah is basically divided into 5 separate Khanates. 1) Khanate of Samundar Khan Khankhail Swati, Khanate of Habib Khan Jehangiri Swati, Khanate of Ameen Khan Jehangiri Swati, Khanate of Hassan Ali Khan Arghushal Swati and Khanate of Behram Khan Sarkheli Swati.

Land Revenue

According to 1872 division of Hazara District, Garhi Habibullah was divided among 5 families into 5 Hundis/Jageers.

Only the Swati tribe was owner when the area was first ever settled by British Government in 1872. The total area of Garhi Habibullah was 30,000 kanal.

1- Estate Samundar Khankhail Swati (15232 Kanal) with Rs 932 Malia having main home in Khan Mohalla.

2- Estate Habib Khan Jehangiri Swati (850 kanal) with Rs 152 Malia having main home in Mohalla Jabbi.

3- Estate Ameen Khan Jehangiri Swati (1650 kanal) with Rs 120 Malia having main home in Mohalla Seri. This family also own another 1600 kanal in Moza Sughdar with same estate name.

4- Estate Hassan Ali Khan Arghushal Swati (1470 kanal) with Rs 158 Malia having main home in Mohalla Butsing. This family also own estate in Moza Dhodial named "Estate Toghan Shah".
