He died on 21 April 2015 at the age of 73 of cancer. He died with his loving wife Marcia Walker, children and grandchildren. He was a central defender for the Southampton football team. Many people remember him as one of Saints best defenders in his time and still today. He joined Burnley football club at 19 years old and later join Southampton. He also joined Cape Town club in his late career as a footballer. He happily retired and moved to a small remote village; Hythe, with his wife Marcia and his son.
