The sentence is this: "Driving the ball to New England's 1-yard line with under a minute to go, rookie cornerback Malcolm Butler caught a critical interception on Seattle's final offensive play that helped to seal the victory." For this sentence to make grammatical sense, Malcolm Butler would personally have had to "drive the ball to New England's 1-yard line!" When a sentence begins with a participial phrase like this, the opening phrase necessarily modifies the sentence's subject (here, "Malcolm Butler"). The sentence should be CHANGED TO THIS: "After Seattle had driven the ball to New England's 1-yard line with under a minute to go, New England rookie cornerback Malcolm Butler made a critical interception on Seattle's final offensive play that helped to seal the victory." Noticed the Patriots don't have a dedicated draft history page like a lot of other teams, so I went ahead and created the draft page for it that I will edit over time. I copied the initial data and table set up from a fellow AFL team, the Bengals, as they have been around a similar amount of time as us and surprisingly are the only AFC team on the list. The objective is to erase their draft history with ours, but keep the tables and key they've set up to save so much time. |
