Nick Adams (July 10 1931-February 7 1968) was an American actor and screenwriter.

Born Nicholas Aloysius Adamschock in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania, using the stage name "Nick Adams", he made his motion picture debut in 1952's Somebody Loves Me. He created and starred in the television series "The Rebel" that ran on ABC from 1959 to 1961. Along with Bruce Geller and others, Adams also wrote scripts for the show.

Adams was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in the 1963 film, Twilight of Honor.

Though Adams married actress Carol Nugent with whom he had two children, he regularly appears in lists of famous gay people. Before he got into acting, Adams was known as a "Hollywood hustler" who had a reputation for having one of the biggest pieces in town. Actress Natalie Wood says that she dated gay men in Hollywood circles including Nick Adams and director Nicholas Ray. Elvis Presley too romanced young Nick. After his "teenage crush" on movie star James Dean The King is said to have seen Rebel Without a Cause some 44 times and ultimately had an affair with Adams who was the roommate of Dean. On February 7, 1968, Nick Adams died of a drug overdose.
