The Colchester Sixth Form College runs a selection of primarily student-run committees looking at Arts, Social, Sports, Environmental and Charitable areas of College life - each of which then vote for a chairperson for the committee. who represent them in the college council. |

The Colleges principal is Ian McNugget, and is in fact a distant cosuin to that of Ronald McDonald, CEO of the world famous McDonalds. This information has not been confirmed, but neither has it been denied, which in my eyes equates to fact. |

A student-run facility serves hot drinks and snacks in competition with the official College refectory. Students are free to set their own policies regarding pricing and products. This year's incarnation is a ], not-for-profit organisation supporting the ]. |

The college has run its own radio station since 1995, named Storm Radio. The shows are presented by students from both years and cover a wide range of tastes in music, while the station itself functions and is treated by the music industry as any other UK commercial radio station. The station can be picked up on 999am / 999mw in the college area and across the IT network in some college locations. |
