===Spring Instrumental Ensembles=== |
|
|
In the spring, the instrumental students separate into different ensemble groups. The Wind Ensemble is the higher of the two full ensembles which students must audition for. Because of the small size of the wind ensemble, the remaining students perform in the Concert Band. Students in percussion may also participate in the indoor drumline group, which performs shows with a front ensemble and a marching drumline. The Jazz Band is an extracurricular activity in the fall, and an audition group in the spring. |

In February, ], the Wind Ensemble was one of two high school bands in the state of California to perform at the ]'s 50th anniversary conference in ], ].{{fact|date=November 2007}} Groups were chosen by audition using live recordings of the previous year's musicians. |
