Hi IanManka, I noticed that you opposed my arbitration candidacy on the basis that my userpage said that I wasn't as active as I used to be. This is true to an extent, as I used to be ''very'' active, but my userpage is a bit outdated - I've been around pretty much every day in recent months, enough to keep up with my pretty large watchlist and the goings-on on the arbitration email list. I'm also likely to be around even more from now on, as I just got the internet back on at home for the first time in two years this week. ] (]) 07:17, 14 December 2007 (UTC) Hi IanManka, I noticed that you opposed my arbitration candidacy on the basis that my userpage said that I wasn't as active as I used to be. I'd like to see an I-formation or singleback formation, and also a shotgun formation to contrast. Preferably standard-ish formations with a tight end and at least one running back. These photos would be useful in the American football article, as well as tight end, wide receiver, etc., where we can point out where the tight end lines up, for example, or which guy is the fullback.

Wheel of Fortune configuration page

Hi. In response to your earlier stated concerns, I added a note that the configuration graphic is based on observation of the show. There is no other available "source." The graphic page was spun off from a space-consuming list on the original Wheel of Fortune page; no objections were raised to the sourcing there. Would crediting the show with appropriate copyright information on the page address your concerns? If not, there's no way to comply with the request for additional sourcing, so as the author of the page, I'll delete it myself. (I don't think writing down a list based on watching a TV show qualifies as "original research," but if that's the policy, I'll be happy to comply with it.) Thanks. Thanks for your response, and I'm glad we were able to come to an agreement. JTRH 22:07, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

You nominated the original article to FA status, you may want to look at the review. Thanks This is a Secret 23:35, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

notice/request

I am considering undeleting a page I deleted that you tagged as a copyvio, Graduated Random Presidential Primary System. See the conversation on my talk page at (unfortunately it's a bit fragmented, there are several threads with the same header). It seems the site we thought the article was a copyvio of was actually copying from Misplaced Pages. Just giving you notice and the chance to stop me from doing something dumb if I'm somehow wrong here. No need to reply if this all makes your head hurt, I take responsibility here. --W.marsh 01:53, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

That does sound okay, I guess. I tend not to wander into copyvio territory, but I was reading the article because I was learning about presidential primary methods and I thought it sounded like someone else's work. I Googled it, and found the web page that was an apparent copyvio. I tagged it, hoping someone would look over it and somewhat confirm if it was indeed a copyvio. I really don't care either way if it is deleted or kept. If you have any questions, please contact me at my talk page. Ian Manka 02:11, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

Request for assistance

Hi, Ian. Lately, 207.69.137.34 (who's been blocked before) has been sloppily editing the Wheel of Fortune page, inserting irrelevant information, changing perfectly good sections of the page to his own (considerably worse) writing, and leaving "warnings" such as LEAVE THIS AS IS OR THERE WILL BE TROUBLE! I'm assuming stupidity rather than bad faith or intentional vandalism, but I'm not sure how to proceed. Thanks for any advice you have, or any action you'd be willing to take. JTRH (talk) 00:58, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for your response. The vandal seems to have disappeared, at least for now. JTRH (talk) 21:54, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

NAIA Bowls

Hey Ian, thanks for stepping up and offering to help on bowls. I've got several NAIA bowl articles I've been working on. These bowls probably are not going to get "individual game pages" like the larger bowls, but it is still nice to get the information on the bowls in general. I'd like you to take a peek and offer any feedback you might think of:

Thanks!--Paul McDonald (talk) 21:37, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007 film)

Welcome to Misplaced Pages. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, articles should not be moved without good reason. They need to have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. We have some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.
