ATTENTION! I reset my talk page when mail keeps getting cramed in their, so if you don't see your message you will know why...

Speedy deletion of As our Bridge Burns

A tag has been placed on As our Bridge Burns requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. ukexpat (talk) 05:27, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

I've deleted it. Please don't keep recreating it. --John (talk) 05:32, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

Band templates

When you add a band's template to an article, don't subst it (or whatever you're doing). For example, the most recent one you added (here) should've been typed in as {{Boys Like Girls}}. That way, when the template is changed, it changes in every article that it appears in. Otherwise, it stays the way it was when you added it to the article.

Have you considered looking into Wiki-adoption? You're obviously enthusiastic about editing here; I just think you would benefit from some experienced help. All you have to do is paste {{subst:dated adoptme}} on your user page and someone will offer to help out. I really think you'd benefit from it. Precious Roy (talk) 01:17, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Badintentions.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Badintentions.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Misplaced Pages constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rappingwonders (talk) 22:09, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

Images on your page

I thought I would answer this question for you. You are not allowed to have fair use pictures on your userpage. You can only have free pics (see WP:IMAGE for more details on copyright status). TJ Spyke 03:48, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

You have much to learn about Misplaced Pages my friend. Misplaced Pages is not My Space. This isn't a social networking site nor is it a place to make shit up. Regardless of who uploaded the image, you can't have fair use images on your user page. It’s that simple. Read WP:FU and WP:IUP. I would also question the notability of the articles you have recently created. Not everything you see or hear deserves an article. Read WP:NOTE. I am certainly considering nominating them for deletion.-- bulletproof 03:53, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Badintentions.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Misplaced Pages:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Misplaced Pages:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Misplaced Pages:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Misplaced Pages:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 21:33, 18 January 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rappingwonders (talk) 21:33, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

Hey, when you put the source on this image, you removed the template saying that the image had no fair use rationale. I restored it, so unless you add a fair use rationale to the image, it will be deleted in about a week. Rappingwonders (talk) 23:23, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

Adoption

Hello Thebluesharpdude, welcome to Misplaced Pages! I see you want to be adopted? That's what I am here for. I have 9 months of experience here, and if you like I can adopt you! You can reply on my talk page. Have a great day. Macy's123 00:35, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

Ok, now that you accepted, let's get started! My first suggestion is: provide an E-mail address; this will help other users to get in contact with you. Instructions:
  1. Click My preferences button
  2. Type your E-mail on the E-mail box
  3. Click Save, and bypass your browser's cache to see the changes. Internet Explorer: press Ctrl-F5, Mozilla: hold down Shift while clicking Reload (or press Ctrl-Shift-R), Opera/Konqueror: press F5, Safari: press Cmd-Opt-E.
  4. Done! Now everyone can get in contact with you.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask at my talk page. Macy's123 00:52, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
Now, on your first day of adoption, I am going to ask you a question: What are you interests? Let me know what you want to do here, or ask me any questions, and we'll figure it out from there. Macy's123 01:00, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

Templates

OK, I think I figured it out—I'm guessing that you're going to the template itself, clicking "edit", copying the text and then pasting it into the article. What you should be doing is putting {{Fall Out Boy}} on the page you want the template to appear on, and it shows up automatically. There's no need to paste all that other text in; it mucks up the page and, more importantly, when the template is updated the page you've pasted all the text onto doesn't update. If this doesn't make sense, please ask me or Macys123 to explain it better. Best, Precious Roy (talk) 20:25, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

Adoption

Hello Thebluesharpdude, just a little message to inform you that I've created the Adoptee classroom. Here you will receive some instructions that can help you. Have a great day! Macy's123 21:40, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

There is a new lesson for you in the Adoptee classroom! If you have any problems, feel free to ask me! Macy's123 22:27, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

Typo redirect Andrew Martinez ( psychobilly drummer)

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Andrew Martinez ( psychobilly drummer), by another Misplaced Pages user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Andrew Martinez ( psychobilly drummer) is a redirect page resulting from an implausible typo (CSD R3).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Andrew Martinez ( psychobilly drummer), please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. To see the user who deleted the page, click here CSDWarnBot (talk) 18:00, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

Hey!

I hear you have been adopted by Macys123 too? Well, I just thought I'd say hi, as you are their adoptee too! Hope to see you active soon, and good luck

Warm Regards
