:Hello MER-C, thank you for your message. I don't know whether you had a proper look at the linked website in question yet, but I think it's highly relevant for each Misplaced Pages article I placed a link at because the authors speak their poems especially FOR lyrikline so they can be listened to by people interested in their poetry everywhere in the world for free. So the project as well as its publicity is supported, desired and legitimated by the poets, who actively contribute to this website by coming to the lyrikline studio or sending their audio recordings to be published on the website.
:The project lyrikline is supported by the German UNESCO Commission, the Goethe Institute, the Senate of Berlin, the Federal Cultural Ministry of Germany and many partner institutions worldwide that all work together to foster an international multilingual cultural network that is presenting the best authors of our time and make their work available to an international audience. Moreover the project initiates translations of the poetry into as many languages as possible, trying to contribute to an active linguistic diversity on the internet.
:lyrikline.org has received the renowned Grimme-Online-Award in the category culture and entertainment in 2005, the same year that the Wikimedia Foundation was awarded with the same prize in the category knowledge and education for Misplaced Pages.

January 2008 (http://spam.lyrikline.org)
Please do not add inappropriate external links to Misplaced Pages. Misplaced Pages is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Misplaced Pages uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. MER-C 12:43, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
- Hello MER-C, thank you for your message.
- The project lyrikline is supported by the German UNESCO Commission, the Goethe Institute, the Senate of Berlin, the Federal Cultural Ministry of Germany and many partner institutions worldwide that all work together to foster an international multilingual cultural network that is presenting the best authors of our time and make their work available to an international audience. Moreover the project initiates translations of the poetry into as many languages as possible, trying to contribute to an active linguistic diversity on the internet.
- lyrikline.org has received the renowned Grimme-Online-Award in the category culture and entertainment in 2005, the same year that the Wikimedia Foundation was awarded with the same prize in the category knowledge and education for Misplaced Pages.
- Certainly every link placed on Misplaced Pages is promotion in a way, in this case I dare say the aspect of promotion should be judged as minor to the cultural value and international reputation of the website in question.
- It was a pity for me to see that you deleted all the links. Maybe my preceding explanation has changed your mind on whether or not lyrikline should appear on poets' Misplaced Pages articles. In case you persist on your opinion, I will of course stop as it is not my intention to fill Misplaced Pages with information that is regarded as spam but to enrich the article with an opportunity for both author and recipient. Thank you, Lyriker
