==Controversy==
In October 2000 the '']'' noted that an author of a volume on unaccredited universities questioned the status of Warnborough, while also quoting an explanation of the stiuation by a school official.

On November 26, 2000 the British Broadcasting Corporation aired a news report on fake degrees, ]s, and other educational concerns. It included a mention of Warnborough University

According to ], Warnborough University and Warnborough College is "not an Irish degree-granter. Not a UK degree-granter. Appearance on UK registry of training providers does not confer or represent authorization to issue degrees." The ] lists Warnborough's degrees as "illegal to use in ]" notes that the school has operated from ] and "also has operated in Washington, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and ]." Also, the Texas board notes that Warnborough "claims to be a consortium of institutions with authority derived from those <nowiki></nowiki> institutions, though the member institutions have no degree authority and claim theirs from Warnborough."

Warnborough University (Ireland) changed its name to Warnborough College (Ireland) in 2006.
