Thanks for cleaning up my userpage, but no need to worry about it - if anything I rather liked the Zantoz comments, I was even proud that my efforts at tagging and reverting his vandalism was annoying him enough to have a go at my page! Gaffertape (talk) 02:44, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

Nowhere near clever enough to note the replies on my talk page, but will do something about my userpage tomorrow (it's getting a bit late here, playing with vandals is getting very addictive). Gaffertape (talk) 02:52, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

Re: Thanks

I usually do move comments when I notice they've been placed on the wrong page, but I'm just a bit lazy tonight...and probably not assuming good faith enough. Most recent edits may prove my suspicions ..but I should still fix it right or not at all. Thanks for the message. Have a good weekend. --OnoremDil 03:05, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

Survivor

You had reverted one of my changes while I was fixing the rest of the Survivor pages. They are fully compliant now to US date coding. Sorry I didn't finish them all at the same time. I'll try and do better when making changes to an entire series. Thank you.KellyAna (talk) 00:33, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

Actually, upon further reading of the docs for {{Infobox Television}}, which the Survivor Infobox is based upon, your formatting is correct and I made a mistake in reverting you. Sorry about that.
On a side note, the date is automagically formatted per your date preference setting (another thing I learned reading the docs). So while the dates might be in one format, if you change your user preferences, the format changes. I did make one minor change to all of your corrections in that I added a comma and space between the day and year for easier reading when editing the Infobox. The bunched up brackets made it hard to read. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 00:56, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
No problem and thank you for taking the time and common courtesy (sometimes not seen) to give a nice edit summary and explain why you made the changes you did. I find far too often people don't say "you were right, but this looks easier to read." It is nice to work with another editor who not only accepts changes but also compliments others' changes with their own additions. Thank you. KellyAna (talk) 01:07, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

Trenton, Ontario

Thank you for your help on this article and with dealing with the associated userpage vandalism. Unfortunately, it appears the same user is back and using a different IP (205.189.25.213). He's left my userpage alone so far, but I'm about to RV the changes for the third time. Do you think it might be possible to semi-protect the page? Thanks. As always, thanks for your help on my talk page. I'm going to assume the troll was spawned from this discussion, so I left it under Trenton. Thanks! Snowfire51 (talk) 22:10, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
You're welcome. Yup, it's related to the Trenton article. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 00:10, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

The page is simply incorrect. However Blotto adrift believes he has an monopoly over it. When several different users correct it he complains to an admin and you block IP address'. Please if you are going to block someone in the future please look into BOTH sides. The trenton ontario page is incorrect and it will stay that way until you stop siding with Blotto Adrift. This is not the only page users have complained about Blotto adrift changing. I am here to help wikipedia by correcting mistakes. This will only improve this sites poor view. However if admins do not look into the actions of all users this site will only go down hill. Blocking based on providing correct information is sad.

?? same user?? Sorry several users have change the page. Look into Blotto adrifts history. He changes many pages to reflect his edits and does not like it when people correct him. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.157.65.118 (talk) 00:06, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

The issue is not incorrect information, but non-notable information. You are not "correcting" information, you are adding non-notable information. You say that "several different users" are inserting this non-notable academic, but I'm fairly sure you and these "different users" are the same person. As has been pointed out in the Talk page for the article, the person is not notable for inclusion on Misplaced Pages. If you can show why this person is notable, you are welcome to re-add it, but so far, you have not done so and therefore the entry will be removed.
You also state that Blotto adrift has other edits that people have complained about and I do not see evidence of that. In fact, his edits show that his has let others edit the article without reverting it. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 00:49, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

- again incorrect - do a search on scholar portal, if you went to university you would know what this is. Also I am not the same person, if anything I think you are blotto. Please see wiki for conflict of interest guidelines. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.157.65.118 (talk) 01:01, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

I am quite aware of what academic publishing is like and you have provided no proof that the person is notable. Merely having a Ph. D. does not mean that somebody is notable. As for your assertion that I am Blotto adrift, well, you are very wrong. I have no conflict of interest issues related to Blotto adrift or the article. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 01:06, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

it appears that you do not know what scholarly work is. if you did you would have access to scholars portal and look up J Mickelakos. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.157.65.118 (talk) 01:33, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

It's not my job to look up the info. That is your job if you want him included on Misplaced Pages. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 01:43, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

I ask for wikipedia to be correct

This is all I ask for. You have not followed the outline that wikipedia states. Instead you decide to edit at will. This is the problem.

please do not delete my responces. They contain the proof you seek. Why are you acting like a child? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.157.65.118 (talk) 01:59, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

New Survivor issue

As my understanding goes, words like "voted out" are to be lower case when considered in a sentence 1st voted out verses 1st Voted Out. Someone changed that and several other things today, a random IP address. What are your thoughts? I can make the changes to all to be consistent. I don't mind. Let me know what you think. KellyAna (talk) 00:11, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

It should probably be lower case if you're referring to the table entries since "Voted Out" is not a title or position one can hold (though Sole Survivor is). You're welcome to change it, but it is probably not that big of a deal to change. As for the random IP address, he's not really random as I know who that is. That's an editor that often does not sign in to his account before editing. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 00:35, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
Well, now I'm questioning Wikifying these pages. I ran into an editor with Survivor ownership issues. I'll work on it for Misplaced Pages but I may have to slap someone in the process. LOL!! KellyAna (talk) 03:04, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
I saw the changes and the discussion that ensued regarding that. I agree with the others that the link from Cirie to the season's article was inappropriate at the time, but now that you have revised her article, the link is fine. I don't think there were necessarily any ownership issues with the article either. My experiences with all of the editors involved in the discussion thread is that are quite open to changes. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 22:08, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

Gogo, I can't believe the crap that continues to flow into this site. It needs all the help it can get. Heck, not even the current administrators seem to be able to agree on what should stay and what should go. Take a look at my talk page to see what I mean.

In any event, I greatly and deeply appreciate the welcome-home. Given the fact that I have to stay active to contribute to Veropedia, I figured I can be of some help around here, even without the mop and bucket.

Take care and stay in touch. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 02:05, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

Las Vegas

I have had one of the worst days in a year so I could be completely missing it, and cyber slap me if you must, but you made some edits to the Las Vegas TV Series page with "copy edit" as the summary. If you wouldn't mind, could you expound on that? KellyAna (talk) 07:48, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

I'm sorry to hear that you had a bad day. You need some ice cream. =) You kind of lost me on your question though. I think you are asking about the meaning of the edit summary, not the edits themselves. It's in reference to copy editing. It's kind of like "cleanup", but perhaps not as extensive. I use it as a shorthand instead of saying something like "move space to the correct side of the period, lower case a letter". Usually I mark the edit as minor, too. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 07:54, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
I need cheese cake I think. I just watch the Las Vegas page and saw you did some edits and am so racked today that they got me a little confused. So to understand, you didn't remove or change content, you cleaned it up and took out the trash. Does that sum it up?? And to briefly sum up the bad day....the payroll "person" at our mergered company keyed my account number in based on her "guess" so my paycheck is floating in bank system limbo rather than sitting in my account. To me that means bad day but I'm still plugging along and being nicer than ever tonight. KellyAna (talk) 08:03, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

Dear Gogo dodo the previous page on "sholiyarkal" was a bundle of abolute nonsense. we do not want wikipedia to be used by terrorists and fringe elements to conduct vilificatory campaigns. Hopefully we've seen the last of it. Question straight to the source. How many warnings should you give to someone before you report them? Example of Shairia, you beat me to the punch fixing it, but something so clearly vandalism shouldn't even get the one in my book, but I don't want to waste your guys time reporting them if you can't do anything until they get X number of warnings, so as to be fair to those who make an honest mistake. Juggernaut999, Other Affairs

Through some investigation, I have discovered that Juggernaut999 did in fact inserted blatantly fake contents into Misplaced Pages articles. The fake contents in question bears striking similarity to vandal ColourWolf. This makes Juggernaut999 a sockpuppet, and he should be banned.

Also, I wanted to ask you about another business. I have been editing here for a while now, and I was wondering what I should do from now on to work at getting an adminship. Thanks! Arbiteroftruth (talk) 08:53, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

Edmonton Investors Group Limited Partnership

I have removed the information on the shareholders other occupations.

Before updating with the new list of investors, there was a 6 year old table which was outdated. I updated the information on the shareholders, which as a fan of the hockey club people want to know. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mike oootside of edmonton (talkcontribs) 19:01, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

I updated the page to not include the "jobs' of the investors. The shareholders were already on the page, although it was 7 years old. All I have done is update the page. To remove a factual table seems absurd to me, to edit parts out of the table would seem more appropriate. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mike oootside of edmonton (talkcontribs) 19:08, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

Arbitrary number?

All of the shareholders were listed, as according to their position as stated on public record? As wikipedia is a public forum, I am sure that a local contributor can clean up this particuliar pasge. I have had one edit from North Carolina & who knows where you are from????

Confused

The whole point of the edit is that the table is dated - the number of shares held by the individuals has change in the past 7 years. It is documented in the reference that 6 individuals have 9.14% of the shares, it is undocumented the number of shares held by the other investors. While listening to the radio in Edmonton today, this particuliar page was referenced & it was said to be inaccurate due to the age of the document & the fact that it has not been updated in some time. That is why I have been trying to update the page, with the list of investors, people are using the facts put on this page, so they might as well see an updated shareholder list. Skyreach equipment doesn't even have shares any longer?!?!? To be taken as people need to be able to see the corrected list. I cannot understand why you wouldn't just fix the apparent problem, instead of making me edit the thing each time....

As in adminship...?

Hi, Gogo. Actually, I'm not sure I do want it back. I did leave in good stead and I asked to have the mop and bucket taken back. It just caused me too many headaches, hassles and humiliation at the hands of some really nasty users of this site. I admit it would be fun to be able to shut down the nonsense again, but the last thing I need is some troll yelling "admin abuse" with every deleted bit of nonsense. However, I am genuinely flattered that you'd make the offer. Perhaps later. I'm adminning three other wikis, but they're a lot quieter than this little slice of the internet.  :) Regards, --PMDrive1061 (talk) 07:25, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

I just blew my stack when I saw what he'd done. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 07:39, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

Stop!

You keep beating me to the reverts! 74.133.9.95 (talk) 21:46, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

Sorry about that. =) Thank you for the barnstar. It's an honor to receive one. =) -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 21:50, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

Heh, you deserved it! That rollback button helps I bet! 74.133.9.95 (talk) 21:51, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
Actually, I don't use the rollback as much as I do the revert command in popups. It has to do with the fact that the rollback isn't available in Recent Changes. And I'm so used to using popups, it's become reflexive for me.
I'm sure somebody else has asked you before, but have you considered creating an account? It would be much easier to keep track of your edits, use the various tools available for vandalism reverting, and leaving you messages. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 21:58, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
I had one once, it wasn't too much of a difference, though I do miss the ability to create articles! I tend to pop in an out so editing as an IP fits. I'm editing from a static IP address (or at least a dynamic one that does not change very often!) so it's no big deal. And I'm pretty good about checking back for replies. :) 74.133.9.95 (talk) 00:45, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
Alright. Just thought I'd ask just in case. =) There are a few other around that edit a lot with static IPs like 68.39.174.238 (talk · contribs). -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 06:45, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

Hello Gogo

House1090 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · block log) is a sockpuppet abuser I've been dealing with for awhile , currently active again as Snowlover1 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · block log). I've been taking these to User:Alison, but she seems to be on break. Would you please handle this for me? Thanks, Amerique 14:57, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for getting that. Currently monitoring another suspect EastCostland01 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · block log) linking to House's old haunts. Amerique 22:19, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

I totally had to look Coolio up, but I do remember that song "Gangster's paradise." Couldn't avoid it when it was popular. I guess I need to update my slang. Amerique 22:42, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
Could be our friend House's theme song, though! Amerique 22:50, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

Greetings

I didn't realize when we were working on the Survivor stuff you were an admin. I have a situation. I have a user that is making accusations on a page I stumbled on through IrishLass0128. When I got there, I saw you there too. Now, I'm not coming to you for anything other than advice. User:DJS24 is out for me. He's pissed because I got one of his socks User:CarsGm5 banned last weekend before I left for Daytona and he was warned to behave (see here ). Now I'm back, I comment on a page with a friendly advisory about logos, User:Blackwatch21 has them, and immediately I'm attacked on Blackwatch's page. I have theories, but I don't want to make actual accusations. What do I do? KellyAna (talk) 22:51, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

I'm back. I'm now being harassed and subversively threatened again by User:DJS24. I've moved the comment to my archive but it's very interesting. He was warned about using his sock personalities but removed the warning a few minutes after I talked to you here. His newest comment to me claims User:Blackwatch21 is his brother and warns me to read User talk:CarsGm5's talk page claiming an "explanation" but in reality it's a threat that I'm "being watched" and if I even say HI, I'll be banned/blocked. Not something I believe, but it's still been put out there. All this is terribly out of hand. You try and help someone and your edits are stalked by a problematic user now claiming to have a brother. I really need your advice. BTW ~ I won't be surprised if he's here soon. KellyAna (talk) 04:52, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

Gogo Dodo, I want to apologize that KellyAna had to burden you with this issue, as she has with several other admins, most of which discarded it because she started the issue. I really don’t know where to begin; I’m getting tired of explaining myself to people. KellyAna and I have a really bad history on the Las Vegas TV page, I have moved on, from that site and KellyAna. You can check several talk pages where other admins have been disgusted with KellyAna comments and games she plays. Now, KellyAna has been off Wiki, because she claims she was in Daytona. However, the minute she returns she attacks my brother’s talk page. She claims she was trying to help but what she says on her talk page and Blackwatch21’s is nothing but threats and intimation of a new user. A method that KellyAna and Irishlass do very well. One statement from her says, “I can certainly "intrude" in ways that would get you in trouble”. I wouldn’t call that helping. If you look at their history (KellyAna/Irishlass), I counted 6 to 7 new users that they threaten, warn, double team, or intimate. Now I’m pretty sure Misplaced Pages doesn’t want users acting that way to new users joining the site. That’s very unprofessional coming from a professional person KellyAna claims to be. Now that’s the only reason we (KellyAna and myself) came back into contact, is because I saw your mean, unnecessary comments on Blackwatch21’s talk page. As for Blackwatch21, YES that is my younger brother joining Misplaced Pages. Now KellyAna can call it what she wants, I really don’t care. I’m sure ¾ of Wiki users have relatives that have Misplaced Pages accounts. As for her sockpuppet claim, that was discarded officially by Misplaced Pages to be a false claim, as I was notified via email. That information was removed from my page as, the info was not true. Now, for KellyAna saying I going to respond to your talk page, of course I’m going to. Who wouldn’t respond when their name is getting tossed around like a piece of trash. Now, I don’t want to make this a big issue, I’m tired of dealing with her. I’m here right now to defend myself, then I’m going back to contribute to my sites. Finally, for the comment I sent to KellyAna, it was nothing more than me pleading not to make this an issue again but with the type of person she is, she calls it harassment. I just wish that someone would block her, as I’m getting tired of dealing with this. Everyone from the BIG Las Vegas dispute has stopped arguing except for KellyAna. Again I apologize for this issue. I’m trying to make this issue go away, but that’s hard when you’re dealing with troublemakers. I can asure you that I done talking to her, as I've been trying to move on, but she keeps dragging me back in. In regards DJS --DJS24 (talk) 05:42, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

I'm psychic!! Gogo Dodo, you and I know there are a couple of claims in the diatribe that can be refuted. User CarsGm5 is banned. User DJS24 has been warned about socks. I came to you for advice, I'm almost grateful DJS24 followed me, as he's done. He came to my talk page tonight, I did not contact him. We've talked before about Survivor, and I saw you on Blackwatch's page so I came to you informally for advice. I should have known what direction this would go. If the claims were false, why is Car's still banned? He's got a lot of false claims there, I'll let you see them for yourself the main one being him claiming he wants the issue to go away, if that were true, he wouldn't have shown up on my talk page or here. As to the Vegas claim, as today is the 26th and I'm certainly not the last to comment here that's just another false claim by DJS. As you know from the Survivor "project", I'm not a troublemaker and I'm not the one with a banned sockpuppet. KellyAna (talk) 05:47, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

I've checked into the past history somewhat (there's just way too much for me to look at in detail). I suggest that everybody just separate and go about their own ways. DJS24 has stated that he has left the Las Vegas dispute, so let him leave it. We should assume good faith that Blackwatch21 is DJS24's brother and leave him alone. Blackwatch21 has had very little input in the dispute and until he does something bad, leave him alone. As for the dispute itself, since the community is at a stalemate on what to do, I suggest that if somebody is still interested in gaining a consensus that they post a message on perhaps Misplaced Pages talk:WikiProject Television to ask what other people think about the situation. However, when whomever asks, I suggest that you leave the question simple and straight forward. Don't add additional commentary about the acrimony of the past dispute, accusations, etc. For example, leave the question short and simple:

There is a lack of consensus on Las Vegas (TV series), should series Infoboxes contain only the current stars of the show or should they contain past stars? If the Infobox should contain past stars, what format should it be in?

In that manner, perhaps the community can gain consensus and the problem will be resolved. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 06:46, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

Thats all I'm asking, I'm just tired of dealing with this. --DJS24 (talk) 07:18, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
Gogo Dodo, I open a notice on the admin noticeboard , idk if you want to mention your conclusion yourself or not. I reference this discussion in the notice. I opened the notice a couple of hours ago when this got heated again, as I'm just tired of dealing with her. I have never been more stressesd out over a stupid internet dispute. Again I'm sorry she burden you with this. Regards --DJS24 (talk) 07:29, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
Question - Is there a way to prove or show that Blackwatch21 is related to me? Should I post him name on my userpage to show that we are related, to end any future disputes like this? Thanks --DJS24 (talk) 16:57, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
Your relationship to Blackwatch has nothing to do with anything about this. If you think that's what this is about, you've been disputing (your word, not mine) the wrong issue. KellyAna (talk) 17:00, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

Step back, start again

Gogo Dodo, this has absolutly NOTHING to do with the Las Vegas article, as you can clearly see I have not touched the article since last weekend and have no desre but DJS24 claims I "had to get the last word" when it is clear I moved on last weekend. He then claims I "harassed" his relatives when it was impossible for me to know that there was any relation. I warned someone to remove logos and he jumped on my page. I did not contact him, I still haven't. I came to a neutral third party for advice and he started things up AGAIN. There is an obvious issue here and I'm not the one with it. He makes several false claims which I could point out here but won't. I just wanted your advice as to what to do, but he had to make it a big deal obviously following me around AGAIN. I have been calm and have ignored him, for the most part. Truly, how was I to know they were related? Truly, why was it wrong to tell someone to remove illegal logos on their page? I replied to Blackwatch only after he came to my page followed by DJS24. You'll see, if you truly look into the situation, I'm by and far not the instigator in any of this. I'm copying most of this to the reported incident and will show history that DJS24 is clearly instigating the problems ever since the creation of the sock last weekend. My Talk Page

Hello, this is User:Karrmann. (This is an alternate account for when I edit on public computers, see WP:SOCK#LEGIT). Anyways, I was wondering if I can get my talk page (User talk:Karrmann) semi protected again, as you have done it in the past. Every day, my talk page is getting replaced with a lenghty attack message by sockpuppets of a blocked account, and I want it to stop. Runfromcheney (talk) 18:40, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

Done. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 20:12, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
Thank you! but, now he is using the talk page of my alternate account User talk:Runfromcheney to attack me. his latest account already hit it twice. Can you semi protect both of those pages as well? Sorry to be so demanding, but I want this to stop long enough for me to get any help I can to put this to an end. Karrmann (talk) 20:44, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

Hey Gogo Dodo, I just wanted to say thank you for your support of my RFA. Your support, Secret's support, and Wizardman's nom meant the most to me, because it was from 3 admins I trust. I hope to live up to the high standards you guys have set on the admin bar, and I look forward to working with you and learning the ropes. If you ever need any help feel free to come and ask (ok this will probably be the other way around for the first couple months ;-) Thanks again for everything!

Haha yeah that was weird. Being able to edit pages Im used to being protected, all the stuff is weird, but Im getting the hang of it. Watching other admins if Im not sure of the proper length but I think Ive basically got everything down. I actually have so many buttons now that the buttons go farther right the my screen haha.

(←)Both, but blocking is pretty easy. I was watching WP:RFPP to see what length would work for different types of requests. It helped a lot to just see what length other admins chose for different types of requests. And I will always be careful when editing any page :-)

Hahaha I will have to get on during school hours then. And thanks for the explanation. See I have worked with and seen a lot of blocks so I felt like I understood that more going into things than protection. But I have WP:RFPP on my watchlist now, so if Im not 100% sure than I wait to see what another will do, which is a great learning process. So I think Im getting the hang of that more and more. A quick question though, how often do you protect pages from creation? Like if someone recreates a deleted page right after it has been deleted? Would you protect the page from recreation? Or do something else?

Sorry, it was a stupid mistake. It’s fixed now, but due to caching problems you’ll have to wait a while for the fix to show up (shift-reload doesn’t work anymore since r27456). —Random832 01:34, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

Actually, I do have a question? We have appeared in Subiespor magazine on a few occasions, but I have no clue how to prove this. Obviously this is a copywritten publication. Do I scan in the pages in which we are featured and send them to you somehow? I think if I posted them I would be in violation of copyright laws myself.

Also once I provide notable information from a reliable source could I then pull down anything that my be copywritten and still keep the listing up?--Pokesmot4a420 (talk) 10:46, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
