:I agree. This particular article was speedied once, recreated, and then the speedy was attempted again but removed from the article by the article creator (presumably the editor and the article's subject are one and the same (COI)). From what I can tell, the speedy was removed by the creator of the article (not a legitimate removal as you know), and then brought to AfD. I tried speedy deleting it per CSD:A7 again and it was removed because of the AfD. I brought it to the attention of an uninvolved editor to try and save the creator some grief, but it seems the best course at this time is to just let the AfD play out. From the Editors

Welcome to the November edition of the WikiProject U2 Newsletter. This month's theme is Zooropa, one of U2's most experimental albums. We hope you enjoy reading it!

New Members
The Album
  • Zooropa was released on July 6, 1993.
  • This album, along with Pop, is considered one of U2's most experimental.
  • It was originally slated to be an EP, but expanded into an LP.
  • It was recorded in between legs on the Zoo TV Tour.
  • Zooropa features a rare lead singing performance by The Edge, on the song Numb.
  • The names of three unfinished songs from the recording sessions -"Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me", "If You Wear That Velvet Dress", and "Wake Up Dead Man"- appear superimposed on the cover; "Hold Me Thrill Me Kiss Me Kill Me" was used in the Batman Forever soundtrack, and "If You Wear That Velvet Dress" and "Wake Up Dead Man" were included on 1997's "Pop".
  • "Numb" was released in an unlikely format as the first "video single"; the "Numb" video is thought of as one of U2's best.
  • "Some Days are Better Than Others" is the only track to have never been played live.
  • The singles from Zooropa are "Numb", "Lemon", and "Stay (Faraway, So Close!)"

==About the "Not Equal" sign on Miami (FL) in the Bowl Games 2007-08==

The reason it's there is that Dolphin Stadium, where the Orange Bowl Game is played, will be the new home field for the University of Miami (Florida) Hurricanes football program starting in 2008. Hope that clears it up. NoseNuggets (talk) 3:21 PM US EST Dec 28 2007.

All My Sons Moving and Storage Company

Hello Keeper76, Thank you very much for your advice. Some sources that you requested that I have come across are press releases abou All My Sons as well as the hit reality show Extreme Makeover. On that site, there is a link back to All My Sons which I think has set the company apart. As the codes have stated, I wanted to make sure that you understand this is not an advertising for the company in any way shape or form. Rather, I want to put up the history of the company and the impact it has made in various metropolitan cities across the United States. If there is any direction in which you can point me in to make my information comply with the standards of Misplaced Pages, I am all ears. I await your response Keeper76 and hope to hear your advice. Thanks again for keeping such a great encyclopedia free to users across the web.

A7

You asked me to mention any questions I had with your first batches of deletions. A7 does not apply to works of creative works, such as Snakes and Ladders (film) its a broad group of things specifically exempted in WP:CSD. On the other hand, you can speedy the author and the actors as A7, just not the film.

and I'd have done Adrian martens as nonsense, based on the last sentence of the 1st para. And G4 can be used only for recreation after XfD, not just multiple justified speedies. After a totally unjustified re-creation, I usually also give a warning.
More important, Anthony turner asserts starring roles --may be unjustifed, but it would be for afd.

The temptation is to go too fast. You'll see some complaints on my talk page. some are justified--they've generally been when I've been in a rush , or tired, or even a little lazy & took a short-cut.

Late gratz from the puppy

Congratulations. Here are what pass for words of wisdom from the puppy:
  1. Remember you will always protect the wrong version.
  2. Remember you must always follow the rules, except for when you ignore them. You will always pick the wrong one to do. (See #5)
  3. Remember to assume good faith and not bite. Remember that when you are applying these principles most diligently, you are probably dealing with a troll.
  4. Use the block ability sparingly. Enjoy the insults you receive when you do block.
  5. Remember when you make these errors, someone will be more than happy to point them out to you in dazzling clarity and descriptive terminology.
  6. and finally, Remember to contact me if you ever need assistance, and I will do what I am able.

My RfA was successful, and closed with 44 Supports, 6 Opposes, and 1 Neutral. For your support, you have my thanks - I fully intend to live up to the lofty yet not-a-big-deal responsibility you have granted me. For those who opposed my candidacy, I value your input and advice, and hope that I may prove worthy of your trust. Special thanks to both Rudget and bibliomaniac15 for their expert coaching and guidance. I look forward to serving the project, my fellow editors, the pursuit of higher knowledge, et cetera, et cetera. Again, you have my thanks. UltraExactZZ ~ Evidence 01:22, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

Closing of the AFD on Air pollution dispersion modeling books

Keeper76: I agree thoroughly with your closing of the Afd debate on the above article and your renaming it as [[:Bibliography of atmospheric dispersion modeling]].

I can think of nothing else that needs to be cleaned up in the article to be consistent with the Afd discussion. Would it be appropriate for me to now remove the "cleanup afd" tag you placed on the article? I will watch for your response on this page. - mbeychok (talk) 06:59, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

Great work Mbeychok! Absolutely, the tag can be removed. In fact, I just did it!. Cheers, Keeper | 76 15:05, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

RfA thanks from Happy-melon

I just wanted to say thanks for your support for my RfA, which closed (74/2/0) this morning. Your comment and support was very much appreciated, as is all the work you do for the LOCE. Happymelon 09:54, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

Handshake

Hi Keeper76,

I think you may have just deleted a page I was just editing. It concerns the folk band Handshake. Is there anything I did wrong with the page? I think it may have been a notability thing? Do I need to add proof of releases and media coverage etc next time?

Is it possible to re-edit the original page or must I start again?

Thanks for any help, kerrykez13

Kerrykez13, I replied on your talk page. Thanks! Keeper | 76 22:37, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

Page on Maumenee deleted

Dear Keeper76:

I was surprised to see that the entry for Irene H. Maumenee was deleted.

I added the entry; i slightly revised text on website: http://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/wilmer/employees/cvs/Maumenee.html

I am the original author of this text; I wrote it when I was employed by the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins.

I clearly did not understand how this works. Even though I am the original author, does Johns Hopkins now own the copyright?

If so, I'm merely curious. Why are pages of other Johns Hopkins faculty still included?

How do I go about resubmitting information about Dr. Maumenee?

Many thanks.

Would you kindly reply to tnm@jhmi.edu?

Bests,

-tom mitchell tnm@jhmi.edu

Psychohistory AfD

Er, why did you close this AfD early? JoshuaZ (talk) 17:17, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

Hi JoshuaZ. I closed the debate early because it really wasn't a debate about whether to keep or delete the article. It was a debate about what content should or should not be included in the article. Therefore, as a content dispute, I recommended that the debate be moved to the talkpage of the article. I am aware of at least one discussion that has happened/is happening on DGG's talkpage between DGG and User:Slrubenstein here. Thanks, Keeper | 76 15:18, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

Spiritualism (philosophy)

Hi,

could I get a copy of the text for the article on Spiritualism (philosophy) as I would like to keep working on it in a sandbox.

It was not wrong. There is a bit of a cultural divide going on here, and spillage from an edit war on Modern Spiritualism as in Europe spiritualism is used in this context.

I would be happy if you could dump the content on my talk page.

Thanks. --Lucyintheskywithdada (talk) 14:50, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

Thanks. At the very least I might remake a redirect to idealism which, apparently, is how it is described more commonly in the US now. I need to look at that article a bit. Classically in Europe it was Spiritualism. --Lucyintheskywithdada (talk) 15:34, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

Sitakunda again

If you don't mind me pestering you again, would you take another look at Sitakunda Upazila? The article has gone through much change, especially in the domain of copyediting since you did wonders in improving it. But, I guess, there still are quite a few copy issues lingering. Cheers. Aditya 19:20, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

Katran (Myst)

How exactly do the keeps outweigh the deletes? As I'm sure you know, articles must have reliable sources in order to assert notability, and fictional topics are not exempt from that. Their only argument was that the character exists within the fiction. That has nothing to do with providing a real world context. TTN (talk) 22:26, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

Give me a sec, I'll go look at it again. I close several AfDs every day. I'll reply to your question within the hour. Cheers, Keeper | 76 22:30, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
