TKSThese 6 TKS what were bought by Estonia were modified and not the same 1 to 1 Polish tankettes. The article should be separate from the Polish TJKS article. There were only 3 tanks types active in the Estonian army officially although several other types were used by the Estonian Legion and soldiers during the WW II among the Axis. I will expand this article as soon as i get more books and data. The current article had to be translated ffrom my own native language and it took a bit time. Also im busy with the university - i can add more text and stuff with images on saturday and sudnay as during the week ive no time unfortunately. Just give it a little time till the end of this month and when it isnt done by 1.03 its up to you what to do. okey? Karabinier 13 February 2008 (UTC) Kwapiński #3Thanks much for your communication about my expansion of your valuable stub. I've added a bit more, re timeline & note on UNRRA flight on Boeing 314 Clipper (where he met my family), of which history seems ignorant. I like to think of JK's sitting in that wonderful luxury, after his trials in Europe. This includes images & links to images, including Polish children with UNRRA aid. I've not finished the refs/notes protocols, which I still find opaque. (However I have two conference addresses to write now.) Thanks for helpful info. about the mod. Poland organization that exists on Wiki. What I might attempt sometime is a two or three space graphic, a la Tufte, of the articles. I do hope in NYC & London to get more info. on the postwar Kwapinski. I appreciate the poignancy of your comment there. Thanks to your work on Wiki, I can make a small contribution to some historical justice.Alethe (talk) 14:47, 26 February 2008 (UTC) PS: More cheery, I've just enhanced the images at the end of my Blackfriars Street Bridge article. User:Avala and his Serbian POV misrepresentations on Kosovo's recognitoin by governmentsPlease consider taking interest in the deletorious and Misplaced Pages-damaging edits of User:Avala in the context of Kosovo's recognition by other governments. In a word, he surmises stances of individual pro-Serb politicians for official stances of countries, and portrays them as such. Any corrections of this OR are met from his side by wiley Misplaced Pages lingo accusing the others, including me, of vandalism. Some points of departure are: his talk page, my talk page, the history of the article about international reaction to Kosovo's independence proclamation, where he unfairly attempts to paint me as a vandal, by pasting a blanking vandalism warning on my talk page, after I and other editors have been removing his untrue portrayals of facts all day today. Surely he has contravened the 3RR rule by now, acting alone. He is an administrator on the Serb Misplaced Pages, and his guile and use of wikipedia bullshit to serve his own ends is especially galling. Ditto on Commons, where I know you don't have an Adminship, but are an active user, and could take part in respected discussion in the Village Pump on this subject (under 26 February 2008). Thank you, and Best Wishes, --Mareklug 01:02, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
Rebooting WikiProject Fictional seriesHello...WikiProject Fictional series is in the process of getting a new start by attracting task forces. I am currently getting things set up for this and other project building areas. Please stop by and take a look. Your suggestions will be appreciated. - LA @ 01:20, 27 February 2008 (UTC) Interview of sortsAs you have thought about what it means to write in a wiki atmosphere, I was wondering if I might "interview" you over email for my Wikimania paper. I am planning on writing a paper on "online collaborative writing" and I'm trying to collect as many perspectives as possible. I would really appreciate it! Ralbot (talk) 08:06, 27 February 2008 (UTC) Eh ohYes, it's a Culture thing. By the way, your talk page design makes me feel seasick with all these garish colored floating panels. Is there some way you could make it more user friendly? --Anticipation of a New Lover's Arrival, The 16:52, 27 February 2008 (UTC) Help! Image:Leon Trotsky.JPGHope 2008 is going ok for you. I came across Image:Leon Trotsky.JPG. Interesting image. Do you have any idea if it might be public domain? Angus McLellan (Talk) 21:09, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
Civil war in Lithuania (1700)From my (very limited) reading on the subject, it seems that the entire war was just one battle. There was a long conflict between the families, yes, but not armed conflict. My suggestion: move the article under the battle name (because two aticles would be repeating same stuff anyway). Fair use rationale for Image:Rejs_dvd.JPGThanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Rejs_dvd.JPG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Misplaced Pages articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Misplaced Pages:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Misplaced Pages policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page. If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Project FMF (talk) 21:31, 28 February 2008 (UTC) DYK medal
Yaropolk IzyaslavichIs there any reliable Polish language material on this guy? Seems like the kind of guy Polish historians might have been interested in, so I just wondered. Congratulations on your DYK award: Is it too late to put the article up for DYK? I've been slow off the mark there, since--as earlier noted--I've been working on the Blackfriars Street Bridge entry some more: adding photos, improving text--but then, as a hole was recently broken in its deck, discovered it, reported to city, bridge closed, tv interview etc.--while I'm writing an invited address elsewhere. I'm enjoying the wikitraffic counter. Hope to get the Kwapinski going in hits, somehow. People need to know of the man, but more of modern Polish history. Cheers, Alethe (talk) 15:41, 2 March 2008 (UTC) AfD nomination of Ivan RohachPlease make a comment Bandurist (talk) 03:04, 3 March 2008 (UTC) An editor has nominated Ivan Rohach, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Misplaced Pages's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Misplaced Pages is not").Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Ivan Rohach and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). wikitrafThanks for the DYK advice. If wish to make an official complaintPiotrus (talk · contribs), I wish to complain against your apparent collaboration with Molobo (talk · contribs). I don't think that it is right for administrators to behave as you have done in the article Bloody_Sunday_(1939), or Morgenthau Plan for example. Molobos edits are heavily contested in the Morgenthau plan, see the article talk page, and you simply select to revert back to include all of Molobos edits. And you don't even bother to explain yourself at talk.--Stor stark7 00:25, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
Kwapiński DYK hooksThanks for shortening. It's only by the good luck of Ancestors.com making landing manifests available recently that I was able to identify JK on UNRRA flight. We now know from that that at 58 he was of medium height, had blue eyes and white hair (no wonder). Ironic that he states that he's not been in prison. I've been wondering if a light sepia tone to coarse-screen photo of him would improve it. Given great luck, I may get another--& postwar info.-- over the next year, either from the Polish Arts est. in NYC, around w. 30th, or in London. Cheers, Alethe (talk) 02:46, 5 March 2008 (UTC) DYK
