Orphaned non-free media (Image:Heanimated.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:Heanimated.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Misplaced Pages. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Misplaced Pages (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. Teen Titans

Like I said previously, the move of "Teen Titans (comic)" to "Teen Titans" was never discussed, with the exception of a discussion which resulted in favor of keeping it there. I want there to be a discussion before any move is made to "Teen Titans". I do not have to establish a consensus to move BACK to what the consensus had wanted. It's true that consensus isn't set in stone, but you have to establish that is true in this case. - A Link to the Past (talk) 19:47, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

WP:COMMONNAMES, IIUC sets out to name the articles as per most likely search. Based on what you've left behond, the most likely search for the article on the comic book is "Teen Titans". That is of course, unless you plan on 1) changing that page from a redirecto to a dab and 2) fixing all of the links for the comic that are currently pointing at the plain title. - J Greb (talk) 20:13, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
I've fixed a few misdirected links in my time. Regardless, if there's dispute to the name, then you have to open a discussion.
And I've never said that people are more likely to search for the comic. I said that I'm not set to give either one preference. And I've said that since it can't be established that either one is at least significantly more searched than the other, neither can get the main article. - A Link to the Past (talk) 20:23, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
I see that you (User:A Link to the Past) have started a discussion at talk:Teen Titans. Further discussion there, particularly about WP:COMMONNAMES, and WP:Naming conventions (comics), among other things, would be a good idea. - jc37 22:23, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

Wiccan (comics)

Just a little clarification: While I prefer the current image myself, Luminum was referring to this image when (s)he said that the coloring was incorrect. --DrBat (talk) 17:37, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:4153 400x600.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:4153 400x600.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Misplaced Pages's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

The following images also have this problem:

Creote

Hey, J. Sorry to dump this on ya, but it looks like Creote is about 90% plagarised. Most of the biog data and even one image come from a "Gay League Profile". This is especially problematic since that site's writers tend to be more colloquial than a Wikipedian. Think you could take a look? Ace Class Shadow; My talk. 00:33, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

Hmm. Well, as much as I'd hate to besmerch the glowing rep of a highly established Wikipedian like User:Tigrahawk, I'm still inclined to believe this is simple copyvio. Their lack of a clear dating system—at least compared to ours—aside, the writing style matches them more than us, like I said before. Plus, they seem to create articles for character fasters and with more frequency than us. At the least, it'd be best if the article was overhauled and rewritten. Ace Class Shadow; My talk. 02:29, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
Alright. I've placed a message on her talk and put that page on my watchlist. In the meantime, I'll see if I come up with more original, encyclopedic spin on Creote's biog. Ace Class Shadow; My talk. 06:30, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
No response from Tigra, but I've fixed the article for the most part. Now, I think I'll do as Dobie says and drift away... Ace Class Shadow; My talk. 21:21, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

Thank you and heads up

First, I wanted to express my appreciation for your support with Olsen and Culp. I also saw there is a lot naming convention action going on with Jubilee (comics), with the same editor. No response necessary, just wanted to again say thanks. -66.109.248.114 (talk) 00:09, 26 April 2008 (UTC).

Green Goblin

Take a look at the Green Goblin article. It seems to use to many fair-use images. Do we ready need all those comic covers? Bobisbob (talk) 14:32, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

Your opinion

Hi J Greb. I noticed your edit summary here. Are you admin? Could you look into this comment by Sceptre at WT:NOT? Sceptre said I have "a history for this"? I think this is simply more harassment by Sceptre. Sceptre got me blocked for 12 hours on April 16, 2008 after Sceptre filed a false vandalism report on me at AIV. This is the edit that Sceptre referred to as vandalism. Several editors stated that my edit was in fact not vandalism, such as Father Goose, Sjakkalle, The wub, Wizardman, and R. Baley. My edit was based on a discussion on WT:NOT up to that point, which I summarize here. I really don't see the reason for Sceptre's comment here but to smear me. He linked to this discussion on my takl page, which has nothing to do with the WP:NOT policy. That thread is about that fact that I recently found out that Sceptre was spreading false information about me at the Administrator's noticeboard (the entire thread is readable here). I posted a rebuttal to his claims on Sceptre's talk page and Sceptre removed it calling me a "troll". So I put the rebuttal on my talk page and was accosted by Sceptre's good friend Seraphim Whipp. So in your opinion, do you think Sceptre's comment should remain at WT:NOT or be removed? --Pixelface (talk) 02:10, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
