== Re: Band == | |||
Hi there! Before creating an article, please read ]. It is the guideline we use to know whether a band can be included in Misplaced Pages or not. If you are sure the band fits the guideline, then write the article considering the guideline (if the band's notability is because it charted in a national music chart, then include the chart position, when, whose and where, for example). Also, use references like articles in newspapers or link to reliable sites. Just claiming a band is notable because it charted in some country's chart but don't supplying a reference to confirm that information is just as if you had done no claim at all. | |||
Hopefully this will clear it up. Cheers! -- ] (]) 00:58, 17 May 2008 (UTC) |
Revision as of 00:58, 17 May 2008
It is felt that the article you created at Tutamensinenoism is not suitable for a Misplaced Pages article, which must have a notable subject and be verifiable. I have moved it to User:Flatfootedninja, which is where users are free to write about themselves. You are at liberty to move it back into the (Main) namespace but bear in mind that if you do so, it is likely to be nominated for deletion.
Note, however, that the purpose of a user page is to enable active editors of Misplaced Pages to introduce themselves to other editors. Misplaced Pages is not a general hosting service, so your user page is not a personal homepage. Content unrelated to Misplaced Pages or its editing is likely to be removed.
Please see the user page guidelines, especially this section for more information. -- RHaworth 06:32, 29 April 2006 (UTC)

User:Flatfootedninja
I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article User:Flatfootedninja, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Misplaced Pages's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Misplaced Pages is not" and Misplaced Pages's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Misplaced Pages, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at ]. You may remove the deletion notice, and the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. License tagging for Image:CATD2.JPG
Thanks for uploading Image:CATD2.JPG. Misplaced Pages gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Misplaced Pages, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

"Chris and The Dickens"
I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article "Chris and The Dickens", suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. Image copyright problem with Image:Catd.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Catd.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Misplaced Pages's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Misplaced Pages can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}}
(to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
