You have claimed that my edit to the page on Islamic Funerals is possible vandalism. It isn't. The statement that is made in the particular sentence is a universal statement that is quite obviously not true (unless you consider the Taj Mahal to be simple and not an outwardly lavish display, which I think many people would disagree with you on that).

The fact is that the Taj Mahal is a tomb. It is a mausoleum for Mumtaz Mahal, the wife of Emperor Shah Jahan, who was a Muslim. It is considered by many people to be one of the most beautiful and most lavish buildings in the world.

The statement in question reads as such:

"Graves markers are simple, because outwardly lavish displays are discouraged in Islam."

Now had it said something like this, "Typically, graves markers are simple, because outwardly lavish displays are discouraged in Islam," then the statement would have been fine.

Implying that all Muslims are universal in their humility is a BIASED statement. I thought Misplaced Pages was against that.

Oh, and don't worry too much about my name. It has nothing to do with religion. I took it from a song.

Cheers,

Jesusnthedaisychain.

Re: this revert of yours. If you have questions or are otherwise incapable of reading sources, please use either article or user talk pages to communicate with other editors. Reverts are not the appropriate method for expressing yourself, even if you had actually provided an edit summary. So, should you actually have questions, please post those questions in an appropriate place.
Please remember that reverts are not normal editing practice. Instead of removing or reverting changes or additions you may not like, add to and enhance them while following the basic principle of improving an article. If you can't figure out how any part of an edit benefits an article ask for clarification on the article's or the editor's discussion page. Please don't forget that no one can read your mind, so even when you do revert, it is crucial that you inform people why you reverted. Thanks. -- Fullstop (talk) 21:24, 25 May 2008 (UTC)
