Hello

This is in response to your question. Things are going pretty well, I'm trying to pass the time, thinking of not sleeping in an attempt to sleep early monday night to reset the 'ol biological clock. A mug of coke and 3 of coffee brewing and so forth. I've been checking out the different parts of Misplaced Pages and all the projects and I think if I get involved in them it'll feel like I'm doing something more productive and suited to the way I think and like to address many things. I really like your userpage, it is set up much neater and more concisely than mine. If I can ever figure out coding and graphics interfaces for wikilanguage then I might try something like that sometime. I just noticed that you got the disclaimer for talk page from me, thanks for listing and all that. I never said that you vandalised anything. I said "re-established pre-vandalised version". The content "The Nipissing University Student Union Council comprises mainly of two parts: the powerful executive council and the largely uninfluential student representatives. They function in much the same way the Galactic Senate and Chancellor Palpatine co-existed, with each having incredible regard for the other's concerns. Chancellor Palpatine was a jolly sith lord and he would never have done anything to jeopardize the establishment." is plainly vandalism and the editor who inserted it will be in the history. Advice please: What's the etiquette/advisability around actually creating the page below Category:Suspected_Wikipedia_sockpuppets_of_KillAllSpammers? It currently exists as an empty link. University of Victoria Students' Society

I was a little frustrated to discover that the entire history section I added was removed. I understand the concerns about a lack of citations, but this could have been requested, or at the very least questionable sections deleted rather than the entire thing. Personally I don't think that a few controversies from the last 10 years constitutes a rigorous history of a society with over 40 years of history, but perhaps we can compromise? I am happy to put in the work of inserting varifiable references for my entire section, but I would like to know before I start the work that we are operating in good faith with one another.Jgroves (talk) 21:23, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

I see that you noticed that I decided to deny these prods. The Fed presence is best part of Higher Ed in Canada and I don't think it's completely covered there now. Category:Higher education in Canada

I made two claims in my edit comment:

• this is a subset of Education in Canada
• articles in Category:Higher education by country show standard practice for such categories

When you say to me "You're wrong" - which one of the above is wrong? Education in Canada consists of

• Higher education in Canada
• Post-secondary education in Canada
• Primary education in Canada

These should be grouped together in one category, which captures all elements of education in the country. This is the standard practice for categorisation throughout Misplaced Pages. If you don't agree with this practice, then by all means, propose changes to the policy and reach consensus for it. Telling other editors that they're wrong simply because you disagree with them is never an effective approach. Anyway, since we disagree, I'll take this to the CWNB to get input from other editors. To be totally honest, AfDs are also a waste of time. 99% of time elementary and middle schools are merged to the district and high schools are kept except in extenuating circumstances such as copyvios, vandalism and special awards.
