As you have requested that opponents of this particular article not nominate it for VFD, I shall speak to you now. However, I do not approve of moving this article to MetaWiki; this would contradict the precept of not offending Wikipedians beyond just cause, which is apparently universally accepted among the editors. In any case, it at least applies to homosexuals and similarly protected classes. I honestly doubt that any article mocking Matthew Shepard or, acheiving the same end by an opposite means, praising Fred Phelps, could be found on any Wiki under Misplaced Pages's general "domain." It would be justly deleted by a concerned user; yet this article's deletion tag has been removed and you have suggested moving it. I do not believe that this would be proper, nor would it be consistent. Freedom of speech is a right which should not be trivialised, yet it is accompanied by a responsibility to refrain from calumny and superfluous offence. Thank you for considering this.--] 20:22, 30 August 2005 (UTC) |

- Grace, Light, and Peace be with you all.
Please feel free to leave me a message. I will generally respond to comments I believe are emergent on your talk page; most often, I respond to casual commmentary here. If you prefer, we can continue a discussion on your talk page, just let me know.
I appreciate hearing from individuals who have found mistakes (spelling, etc.) in my posts; these turn up all to often, as I tend to type very fast and not catch spelling mistakes my edits. If you find an error, you may get an indulgence. (WikiSins only!)
As a theology professor and scholar of Roman Catholicism, I am happy to answer questions about the Church. Be warned that my answers to questions about the Church always reflect the Church's official position, but are often long!
It's important to remember: I'm not a Catholic, I'm a scholar of Catholicism.
I am an Administrator; if you need my help, please let me know. User:Willy Wonka Bonka Tatonka
I changed the template back to SockBlock; "Willy Wonka Bonka Tatonka" was a Mickey/Mr.LOL sock, not a WOW. Mickey is a regular vandal who focuses his vandalism on a few select editors who have blocked him for vandalism in the past; WWBT's only edit was to my talk page. His vandalism is usually of the "User:X is so gay" variety; I haven't seen all the Mickeys (there have probably been about 50 incarnations over the last three months), but I don't think he's ever done page move vandalism.
Since you made the change, I felt it was appropriate to let you know why I was changing back; I know I hate it when I do something useful and it is reverted without comment. -- Essjay · Talk 06:08, August 28, 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks, he was listed as a suspected WoW puppet, so I'll remove him from the list. Adam 22:54, August 28, 2005 (UTC)
Great! Thanks for your help. -- Essjay · Talk 03:00, August 29, 2005 (UTC)
- I just thought I'd let you know that Mr. LOL was a Rn71989 sock. I have no idea who Mickey is, but I know for a fact that Mr. LOL has no ties to him. Acetic Acid (talk) 14:39, August 30, 2005 (UTC)
- User:Rn71989 is listed as a WoW puppet...but from the looks of this it might not be the case. I think I'll remove him from the list...though his page moves were quite vandalistic. Adam 17:36, August 30, 2005 (UTC)

I apologize for my rudeness. I should have explained that I found parodying prayers offensive. Can we discuss this and come to an agreement? Watch out for Mickey661.--Anti-Anonymex2 20:35, 29 August 2005 (UTC)
