Fusebox Funk

Fusebox Funk is a band that formed in 2001, in Jacksonville, Florida. Fusebox Funk, a Hip/Hop band that features a furious horn section and a outlandish rythm section, which coupled with socially conscience lyrics, combine to serve up a Hip-hop/Funk assault. Fusebox Funk has been heard on the radio in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina, New Mexico and most recently California. The band has toured relentlessly and is enjoying growing success and a strong fan base.


After several years of writing and touring, the band went through a line-up change in 2007. Drummer Jeff Byrd(Byrdog) and bassist Cary Jordan(Cary The Label Guy) were added to the line-up. With their addition, Fusebox Funk has taken their music to the next level. Jeff Byrd is a accomplished and sought after Jazz/Fusion drummer with strong Hip-Hop roots. Cary Jordan is a notable bassist with Jazz/Rock/Hip-Hop roots and a Warwick (bass guitar) Endorser.




Fusebox Funk has performed/toured/opened with the following notable national acts:



Notable Performances

  • In April of 2006 Fusebox Funk performed with George Clinton and The Parliament Funkadelics
  • In December of 2007 at the Soul Kitchen in Mobile, Ala, while on tour with a opening spot opening for Galactic, Chali 2na performed with Fusebox Funk during their song "Unwind".
  • In April of 2008, Fusbox Funk performed with Ozomatli at Freebird Live in Jacksonville, Fl.
