There has been a constant slew of driveby editings, probably made by the same person. Motis operandi is as follows: He creates a user name, edits the Moshe Dovid Tendler article only, then deletes his user name so he can't be banned. Some of the names used for this are: B4-40for, Cirdtir, Acco2008, Tmmcvs111, Tmmcvs1111, Tmmcvs11111, NIOLLIB98. User Tmmcvs11111 was also deleted and only has a talk page by virtue of the fact that I created a talk page to voice my concerns that he keeps deleteing my request for a citation instead of posting a source for the claim that MDT recieved rabbinical ordination from Rabbis Moshe Feinstien, and J.B. Soloveichik. Despite the fact there are minibiographies of MDT on the website, the website, website, and there are details of his life in his books, none of them mention this factoid. Therefore I will continue to delete it. The second issue is a long winded discussion about one particlar responsa that Tendler wrote, which is in effect a commercial for hods.org, that has no place in the article. Thirdly, a with dozens of links, mostly Tendler himself in his own words, (no matter how uncomplimentary it may be) keeps getting deleted by the same person trying to canonize this evil man. The man has been caught lying dozens of times. Face the music. He is the most unethical person to ever appoint himself director of ethics. ] (]) 13:51, 13 June 2008 (UTC) There has been a constant slew of driveby editings, probably made by the same person. Aside from the truth, what is it exactly about the link http://www.dhengah.org/mbp/tendlervstendler.htm that bothers you so much that you have removed it three times? Dr. Tendler is the source (linked, referenced, and documented) for most of the material. Take a deep breathe and try to come to grips with the truth. As the Rambam says the truth remains the truth and even if the whole world says different it doesn't change the truth. It's not going to go away just because you keep deleting my factual documented links.--pikipiki 00:38, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

The changes you removed are factual, I should have used more references, they were not at my fingertips. The link you have twice removed, has dozens of sources and references, many from YU commentator and YUTORAH.ORG, it is possible that it is not complimentary, but it is very well documented. I'm sorry if the truth bothers you, but the link is very authoratative, your deletion is clearly to slant the information to your POV by covering the FACTS. The FACT that YU altered the original recording might make feel you have a heter to delete information that you don't want publicized, but the FACTS are very clear. Please leave the link, it contains only FACTS. I'm sorry if this offends or bothers you.--pikipiki 22:34, 24 January 2006 (UTC)

I presume you are referring to edits made by 38.117.234.162. JFW | T@lk 00:32, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

these changes by an anon IP.

Regarding these changes by an anon IP.

None of the additions are cited in any way, and some of them are most likely verifiable (Tendler once said in class....) There are some facts in there, which, if true, could be useful additions to the page, but at the moment they're unverified, and almost everything you wrote was riddle with POV statements and phrases (which is the ultimate reason I had to delete them). If the author of those changes is reading this, you may also want to register for a username as it will make communication much easier. Feel free to try again, but try to cite your facts, and most importantly, avoid promoting your POV. --Bachrach44 14:22, 24 January 2006 (UTC)

Dual standard by Jfdwolff, I suppose flatulance is more important

The link to | Tendler vs. Tendler contains 67 links, 51 of them are sources referencing Dr. Tendler or actual recorded quotes by Dr. Tendler himself. You chose to delete that link three times. When it comes flatulance, you leave the authors questionable claim and merely ask for a source (Which has not yet been given.) Why is that acceptable, but a documented page containg 67 different supporting links is not acceptable. You should really start thinking about the truth, even if you find it distasteful.--pikipiki 04:50, 6 February 2006 (UTC)

Vital Statistics

Hey, am I missing something, or what? (Or both of the above, perhaps.) Maybe I need new eyeglasses, but so far as I can see, the article provides neither a date nor place of birth for the man. Is that intentional, or are we just too busy debating political and religious aspects of the man to pay attention to little details like that, or even care? Toddcs 17:44, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

Reb Moshe

Reb Moshe is referred to as a "well-known posek?" That's rather faint praise for a man who was widely considered the Gadol Hador. I'll have to dig up the New York Times reference that called him the world's foremost Halachic authority.--RandomHumanoid 06:22, 26 June 2007 (UTC) Well, I may be totally confused here, but I've never heard that the policies or objectives of Misplaced Pages include praising anyone, faintly or otherwise. Now, if you feel the article as written misrepresents the facts, then please rephrase your comment. Toddcs (talk) 19:44, 22 November 2007 (UTC)

Reference to Mordecai Tendler

Hi. I'm concerned that new or anon editors seem to be removing the reference to his son, Mordecai Tendler. Aside from the obvious bio relevance, they worked together in helping R. Moshe Feinstein. In addition, the father's life has been a bit influenced by his son's problems. Granted, it's not the most pleasant situation for Tendler senior, but there's no reason to try to sweep it under the rug, either. So, if you want the text removed, please explain here. If you feel the text belongs, please help me keep it intact. Thanks! HG | Talk 21:48, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

One time changes by hit and run.

Despite the fact there are minibiographies of MDT on the YUTORAH.ORG website, the Community Synagogue of Monsey website, pew forum website, and there are details of his life in his books, none of them mention this factoid. Therefore I will continue to delete it. The second issue is a long winded discussion about one particlar responsa that Tendler wrote, which is in effect a commercial for hods.org, that has no place in the article. Thirdly, a reference page with dozens of links, mostly Tendler himself in his own words, (no matter how uncomplimentary it may be) keeps getting deleted by the same person trying to canonize this man. (Contentious material removed per WP:BLP)--BelovedFreak 12:08, 25 July 2008 (UTC) pikipiki (talk) 13:51, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

Some recent additions look plausible but need sources. Please supply. Thanks. HG | Talk 16:55, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
Read WP:BLP and believe it. -- Hoary (talk) 09:59, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

Plagiarism

Knowing nothing about Tendler, I decided to look at this, linked to close above here. One section reappeared within this article. I therefore deleted it from this article.

Partial plagiarism is not tolerated in Misplaced Pages.

I start to wonder whether more of this article might have been lifted from elsewhere. If so, delete it. -- Hoary (talk) 10:02, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
