Yes it was good edit, thank you. Keep in mind that the case against you is not about vandalism but about sock puppetry. I do not tar anyone who has a different opinion, in fact I have run into numerous users with differing opinions and have had no problems discussing things with them. There are plenty of edits made by people at the baseball card pages who are not socks like Fram for instance. I engaged in discussion of which you are in denial. Please stop monitoring me; that is what got you in trouble in the first place. I stayed away but you could not leave me alone. You put my name in Plate King's rant in two places, you also were relentless in placing sock tags on my user page as well as Box and Omero. Why do you have to harass me? I am trying to share information and follow the guidlines. It may be a children's hobby and pieces of cardboard with pictures on it but it is also notable for a variety of reasons and I have tried to bring some academic quality to it. You don't want to invite other people(legitimate people not socks) to help with the baseball card articles because you are afraid they will not allow you to have things your way. I invite anyone to help out. You never know, they may agree with your format. You have ruined it for new users. Now only long established users will be able to go there. *You are not making sense because you seem to be confusing me with someone else. I just want you to stop with your passive aggressive attacks, lies, and holier than thou attitude. I asked nicely for you and Baseball Card Guy to stop and take a time out and then you accuse me of being a sockpuppet. If anyone is harassing or in denial it is you. Re: World Cup squads

Hey, some full names are still there. Click on players' names and check. Of course, some as Pelé, Garrincha or Zico have their full names listed on their respective articles. —Lesfer 20:57, 17 May 2006 (UTC)

World Cup standings

Hello. I think it is an interesting idea but I would prefer adding it to main article of proper World Cups. I have updated the flags and going to finish converting players to standard "first name surname" format. - Darwinek 15:15, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

1930 World Cup

Despite there not having been a match for third place at Uruguay 30, the final standings put the Yanks in third place. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Libro0 (talkcontribs)

How do you work that out? Jooler 08:12, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
Goal difference was not used as a criterion to separate teams in the World Cup finals until 1970.
The schema that was used in World Cup qualifiers and finals from 1958 up til 1970 was goal average. However in every World Cup up until 1966, goal average was only used as a last resort before it went to the drawing of lots. i.e. before resorting to goal average teams on equal points had to play a play-off. In 1930 there was no criterion in place by which any decision about who had finished 3rd or 4th could be determined. They didn't use goal average, they didn't use goal difference, they didn't use count of goals for (ignoring goals against), they didn't use number of corners, they didn't draw lots and they didn't play a play-off. There was no 3rd place in 1930, just like there is no 3rd place in the Wimbledon Championships, there were two losing semi-finalists. Goal difference was brought into play in league football to encourage attacking play and thus it influences how many goals teams score. Do you think that if the teams were aware that their goal average/difference would make a difference to their position in respect of 3rd/4th place then it might have had an influence on how many goals they put no the back of the net? Using modern criteria retrospectively for the 1930 World Cup makes no sense whatsoever. If it does, then why don't we award 3 points for a win instead of 2 and then see who would have qualified for the semi-finals? Jooler 21:31, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

Final Standings

I appreciate your hard work in producing these very interesting tables, but I'm afraid they contravene Misplaced Pages:No original research, and I've removed them from the articles. I am sorry to have to delete them as I know a lot of effort must have gone into them, but unless you were able to supply references that they were published in a reputable publication, they are not suitable for Misplaced Pages. I suggest you either upload them to one of the many free web hosts out there, or that you userfy them. I can help you with this if you like. --Guinnog 22:32, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

There have been various attempts to include league tables like this for the World Cups over the last months and all have been deleted. While they are interesting in a way, they are definitely original research as described in the policy I referred you to above, and so cannot be placed in the articles. You should certainly not insert them again without first obtaining consensus in the relevant articles' talk pages. To userfy them would mean setting up a subpage in your user space; I, for example have User:Guinnog/gallery in mine. There would be no objection to having them there. --Guinnog 12:02, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
I appreciate that it must be draining when your hard work is deleted, which is why I sent you my original message above. Unfortunately, being "harmless" is not sufficient for inclusion here. The statistics are not of course in dispute here; it is your analysis of them which makes the tables you want to include original research. By including them, even with the tag "unofficial", we run the risk that readers (who may not be experts on football) may think these "standings" have some meaning. I'm afraid I will continue to strongly resist the inclusion of any such tables in the articles. Sorry. --Guinnog 15:58, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for your message. This is not a decision that can be taken by one or two editors. We need to open it up for debate and try to reach a consensus. I am thinking about where the best place for that discussion would be. Do you have any thoughts on it? --Guinnog 18:23, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

2007 Gold Cup

Hi, thanks for your message. Feel free to change it back, I just wanted to make it simpler overall, but you're probably right. Sorry for not discussing it in the talk page, I didn't think it was too big of a change. Regards, --Gabbec 07:44, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

1934 Hungarian Squad

Hi! Sorry for deleting J. Rozsonyi. I was pretty new back then on the Misplaced Pages, and I was not aware of the talk page. The reason I deleted him is that I could not find any records about a Hungarian player with this name at all! I know you can find many references which state that Hungary had a player on the 1934 World Cup, but he never played a game. But I beleive, all of these come from the RSSSF page .
What makes me think this is that he is the only player who's first name is missing from every single homepage dealing with this issue .

Also he is the only one who's position is unknown (same references). And above all if you check the order of the players on every single site, he is mentioned between Moré and Tamássy. That's what makes me think that the source of information is the RSSSF homepage. On might also note that only English language references are stating this player.

About a football player with the name J. Rozsonyi. According to my knowledge, no player with that name has ever played for the Hungarian national team. You can find every single player who played for the Hungary on this page (It is complete from 1902 to 2001), and this player is not mentioned. Also I have several books about the Hungarian national team, but none of them states this name. As an addition I have a book which is about all the games of the National team, including friendlies against club teams, the games of Hungary 'B', Hungary 'C', the amateur and the professional national team, youth national teams, West-Hungary, East-Hungary, Budapest selected etc. . It doesn't say anything about a player called Rozsonyi again at all. I've checked every single match between 1930 and 1938, and I didn't find anybody with the name Rozsonyi.

Also I have a book which has every 1st league game the team of Újpest has ever played. I couldn't find any players with the name Rozsonyi there either in the squads of the opponents of Újpest. If you add all this, I think we can state, this player called J. Rozsonyi has never existed, it is just a mistake that he is in there. The "closest name" I can think of is Rozgonyi, a player of Kispest in the 1930's. But as far as I know he didn't go to the World Cup either, and also he never played for the national team. I have contacted the historian of the Kispest homepage, and I'm waiting for his e-mail on Rozgonyi.

Sorry for not having any online references, but the history of Hungarian footbal is very poor on the Internet. :-(

Hi! I have new information about the topic! My friend is in the Hungarian National Library at this moment, and I asked him to look up some information about the topic! He just called me from there in a second, he checked both sports newspapers (Nemzeti Sport & Sporthirlap) from 1934 and this guy, called Rozsonyi is Rozgonyi from Kispest. I don't have his first name yet, I will have to work on it, but we do not need to add him to the World Cup Squad, because on the very last day of nomination there were certain changes made in the Hungarian squad. Rozgonyi and two other players were left out, and three new players, including Biro were included in the squad! My friend will send me an e-mail tonight or tomorrow, with the exact Hungary squad for the 1934 World Cup from the Hungarian newspapers, including the three changes on the last day of nomination!!! I got very interested about the topic :) So as a summary, the original Hungarian squad did include Rozgonyi, but the final squad after the three changes on the last day, did not! So Rozgonyi did not travel to Italy.

Anyway, there is no such Hungarian name as Rozsnoyi (it doesn't fit to the Hungarian grammer since y as a stand alone letter doesn't exist, only together with l, t or n (ly, ty and ny), so it is a mistake for sure. :)

Also I am a fanatic of Újpest FC, and many times they ask me about club history information, since I am researching the club history together with the guy who is in the Library right now :) So if you are looking for details on Hungarian football history, please feel free to contact me. I am also in touch with Újpest FC, the homepage editors are both my friends, while I also know the chairman in person.

Regards, --Gabute 12:43, 8 November 2006 (CET)

Hi again! I've got the final version now from the 1934 Hungarian Sports newspapers (Nemzeti Sport & Sporthírlap): The original squad of Hungary was the following:
Goalkeepers: József Háda, Antal Szabó
Defenders: József Vágó, László Sternberg, Gyula Futó, Rezső Rozgonyi
Midfielders: Antal Szalay, István Palotás, György Szűcs, János Moré, Gyula Lázár, János Dudás
Strikers: Imre Markos, István Tamássy, István Avar, Jenő Vincze, Pál Teleki, Géza Toldi, Tibor Kemény, Gábor P. Szabó, György Sárosi, József Turay

On the last day of nomination the following changes were made because of the supporters' and journalists' complains:
Somlai* replacing János Móré
Gyula Polgár replacing József Turay
Sándor Bíró replacing Rezső Rozgonyi

Thus the final, actually travelling squad became the following:
Goalkeepers: József Háda, Antal Szabó
Defenders: József Vágó, László Sternberg, Gyula Futó, Sándor Bíró
Midfielders: Antal Szalay, István Palotás, György Szűcs, Somlay (!!!), Gyula Lázár, János Dudás
Strikers: Imre Markos, István Tamássy, István Avar, Jenő Vincze, Pál Teleki, Géza Toldi, Tibor Kemény, Gábor P. Szabó, György Sárosi, Gyula Polgár (Sárosi was injured, Polgár had university exams so they both arrived later then the rest of the team!)

I marked our man with bold letters! He is the onknown "Rozsonyi". In the reality it was Rezső Rozgonyi, a 1909 born right back who played for Vasas until 1929 then joined Kispest, and he was still a player of Kispest in 1934.

(!!!) Also another mistery: who was Somlay? Only thing I know about him is that he was a player of Kispest and his position was central midfielder. He never played any official games for the national team, but he was capped for Budapest a few times.

So I think the following changes should be made in the 1934 Hungary World Cup Squad according to the Hungarian newspapers of 1934:

- János Moré, József Turay, János Vanicsek should be deleted - Somlay (MF) should be added - The position of Tamássy should be changed to FW - Polgár's position can remain MF, since he played MF, FW and DF as well...

World Cup squads

Hi! About your question, I don't remember well what I did back then in September on the Sweden 1950 World Cup squad. I probably have taken out a few of the players when I edit. If you have a credible source they should be in the squad, you can just add them back. Although I've noticed that a lot of the sources contradict each other for the earlier tournaments.

BTW, who is that Hungarian player "Somlay" in the 1934 World Cup squads? Does he just have one name? Chanheigeorge 00:15, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

Re your message, my only edit to 1950 FIFA World Cup squads was the move from 1950 FIFA World Cup (squads). Conscious 08:55, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

Moustafa Kamel Mansour

Hi Libro0. I wouldn't put too much store by the wikipedia article, as I created it 2 days ago. I took the spelling from the Al-Ahly article, where Mansour was listed as a captain and later manager of the club. With so many variations, I thought that a version submitted by a native Arabic speaker (User:Mooo added the information to the Al-Ahly article) was best. Ideally, the article should also have Mansour's name in Arabic - if we get an Arabic speaker to translate, they could also advise if there is a preferred Egyptian translation of Moustafa (ie, Ukrainians don't use the western alphabet but have a preference for Kyiv as the translated name of their capital, rather than Kiev). I might ask User:Anas Salloum as he has translated a previous Arabic footie biography I edited. Caledonian Place 11:20, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

1993 Topps

It was a uncontested Prod article, those types of articles should as best be merged or deleted per WP:NOT. Just gives the details of a non-notable year of cards. Thanks Jaranda 18:09, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

I undeleted it restoring all but the prod edit, at best try to merge and redirect all those years into one, that doesn't mean another user can place the article on AFD but it has a better chance than someone mass AFD those articles and getting them deleted. Thanks Jaranda 18:53, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

Helmut Demucke

Hi! You said that Helmut Demucke seems not to exist, but there are many websites citing him... So what's the solution? --necronudist 09:10, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

Yes, I read about Keough. Well, maybe you're right... Thanks for the explanation and good work! --necronudist 15:47, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

Sorry, I'd like to speak to you privately. Can you send me an e-mail? Adress is on my userpage! --necronudist (talk) 13:37, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

1918 national challenge cup

ok now I see the mistake - the refference placed on the site was this and going trought it I tought you took out some of the teams, but apparently you placed them in the right places... I will revert my version back to yours!!! thank you for the check up, and sorry for the missunderstanding! --Flavallee (talk) 03:09, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

AAFA Cup

Putting both years on the main page sounds good to me. I intended to work on the two competitions eventually, but I tend to get sidetracked and at the moment am working on writing bios for red linked U.S. players in List of association football families of note as well as the early MLS drafts and I probably won't get back around to the AAFA for while.Mohrflies (talk) 18:31, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

Non-redundant information

Saying the O-Pee-Chee sets have "O-Pee-Chee branding" is not redundant. Some of the earlier O-Pee-Chee sets and the 1990 and 1991 sets were branded as Topps. All the others had O-Pee-Chee instead of Topps on them. --I Hate CAPTCHAS (talk) 14:39, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

American Football Association

I used the date of 1882 based on this quote from the September 18, 1894 New York Times article, "The American Association has been in existence for twelve years and comprises five of the strongest clubs in New England and a like number in this section." I subtracted 12 from 1894 and got 1882. Mohrflies (talk) 13:19, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Stock baseball card images

My concern wasn't really the rationales but their use at all. For example Image:1951 Topps Red Backs Phil Rizzuto.jpg is being used as an example of what the 1950s Topps cards looked like. However, looking at policy #7, it says "A Barry Bonds baseball card, to illustrate the article on Barry Bonds. The use may be appropriate to illustrate a passage on the card itself; see the Billy Ripken article." This seems awfully close to that. I wonder if we should instead create fictional cards showing the designs used during that period instead (I think that's what done for uniforms). Those would be free images I think. If you disagree, I'll ask at Misplaced Pages:Media copyright questions and see what others with more experience think. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 08:04, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

Let me ask. I might just be a crazy man. =) -- Ricky81682 (talk) 09:17, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

Re: mediation

Hi. I see a posting on "mediation" on my talk page. I'm not familiar with the particular subject, so I think possibly you posted to the wrong page.

If you really did mean to post to my page asking for some help in mediation, please supply some more details. Where are the articles in question, etc. I'll see if I can help. Loren.wilton (talk) 04:15, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

Ok, I've looked over the O-Pee-Chee article and made some minor adjustments to it.

In all honesty, I can't see where I_H_C is a problem on this particular page. He only made something like two edits, and they weren't reverted. He seems to be interested in baseball cards, you seem to be interested in hockey cards. I can't see why there should be much conflict there; the company did make both kinds of cards.

Now, I_H_C does have some grammar problems. But quite frankly, they are very minor compared to what I see in the articles on Indian and Hong Kong schools, where the grasp of English is tenuous at best. The best way to not have to keep fixing the grammar problems is NOT to try to run the other editor off. Instead fix up the day's problems on the page (likely only a few sentences) and then put a section on grammar on the article talk page. "I fixed up the following sentences from ... to ... I did this because ..." And this last part is the tricky part. You need to explain what the grammar rule is in simple terms, and not give in to wanting to call the other person a dunderhead.

I looked at the other trading card pages linked from the main page, and I can see that you are both editing on these pages too. It looks like you were there first and they were hockey trading card pages, and then I_H_C added baseball info, and then you renamed them to sports card pages. All of this looks fine to me, but I see that you have rubbed elbows uncomfortably closely in a few places.

I would suggest the following: when something is added and you don't like it (grammar or whatever), you might make one try at changing it to your liking. If it gets reverted by the original editor, it doesn't mean he is obstinate. It means he didn't understand your point. Maybe you described it clearly enough for YOU to understand. But maybe you are assuming some context that the other person isn't seeing, so your statements just don't make sense to him. Or maybe he understands them but disagrees. So he reverts back to his version. And reverting once is OK. Really, it is.

At this point we can assume you still disagree. Time to take it to the article talk page. Leave what the other editor has, and post a new section saying "I'm not sure what you mean by ..." (even if you think you really are sure) or "possible grammar problems with ..." (even if you know darn well it is wrong), and then say what it is that you don't like. If possible, try to phrase it as a question and make sure you put a "thank you" in it somewhere. You are trying to get the other guy to explain why he did something. Maybe after he explains it you will say, "oh, I see. I would have done it this way instead..." And maybe he will agree that would be a better way. Or maybe he will say "no, because..." and bring up something you haven't thought of, and you will end up saying, "gee, he's right!".

Now, if the whole thing boils down to grammar problems in the end, there are really only three possible solutions:

  1. Fix it yourself
  2. Teach the other editor what is wrong so he stops making things to fix
  3. Grit your teeth and just leave it for someone else to fix. It will get fixed sooner or later.

Of those choices, I would try for being a grammar coach, and if that fails, fix up the occasional problem yourself, but don't make a life's work of that.

Does any of this seem helpful? I'll try having a chat with I_H_C also. Loren.wilton (talk) 07:34, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

Um if you think I am admin I am flattered but I am not. I can however help if you need it. I have actually reviewed and noted that there seems to be a bit of a problem on your side as well. But I am seeing a lot of incivility and failure to discuss on baseball guy's side. My suggestion mate is to stray away from those areas for now. I can see that you are a good editor and s/he is too. But you are both very close to edit warring and I do not want to see a good editor get in trouble. I understand it is your area but..if it means a block...sacrifices need to be made and one of you needs to be the bigger editor in this situation and as you seem to have the most to lose I suggest you be that editor..and as far as I can tell you are being that editor. Rgoodermote  02:45, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

Agreed. Libro0 (talk) 02:57, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the update. I really do not mind them. I am still not taking a side by the way. But I will offer advise. Walk away and report it to a higher authority. His incivility may become contagious and as I stated. I do not want to see a good editor blocked for something minor. Rgoodermote  18:21, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

Zeffiro Furiassi

I can't find the information you found on the page you cite. DoubleBlue (Talk) 06:53, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

Don't let it stop you from creating more great articles. Except for the sentence:"Unlike most defenders, Zeffiro Furiassi had great feet he seldom cleared the ball like the majority of his colleagues rather he had the ability to make accurate passes to the midfielders to mount counterattacks", it is pretty uncontroversial. That sentence would need a source, however. DoubleBlue (Talk) 07:06, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

We are not creating image galleries, we are illustrating products. There is a difference. Creating some sort of mockups would violate copyrights, as the designs are under copyright. Several Issues

1. Misplaced Pages is not a democracy. See Misplaced Pages:What Misplaced Pages is not

2. If you keep accusing me of being someone else I will consider this harassment and report it. You were trying to be clever. Stop. I am not your evil nemesis that you are engaged in combat with. It is definitely not civil. --Baseball Card Guy (talk) 22:27, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

More issues

1. You do not own any articles. Please see: Misplaced Pages:Ownership of articles Never said I did. 2. Misplaced Pages is not censored. Please see: Misplaced Pages:What Misplaced Pages is not Never said it was. 3. If you have sources, please cite them. Look at the bottom of the pages. 4. You seem to be acting like a troll. Please stop. --Baseball Card Guy (talk) 22:41, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

You edit the same things, the same way, and behave alike. You call yourself BaseballCardGuy yet you have not made Fleer, Donruss, Score, Upper Deck, pages. All you've done is redress and copy my work. I think you need your own personal site to do with what you like. At least I still have beckettpedia. Libro0 (talk) 23:28, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

I am not an admin but I am now stepping in. Both of you should stop now before you get in trouble. Take this to WP:Mediation or to an off-site forum and try and deal with your problems. I see a potential for good editors to get blocked from editing and I do not like seeing that. Please either stop editing those areas or work out your differences. I do not want to be part of this. I only wanted to offer advice. Rgoodermote  00:54, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

I am off to Beckettpedia. Libro0 (talk) 00:57, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

Look at what you've done to the talk page. It is full of deleted image warnings. Look, it is very simple. You are not a Baseball Card Guy. If you were, you would have created new pages like 1996-2008 Topps or started Fleer and Donruss pages. Instead you decide you want redo what has already been done. I went and got the books, I read them, I collected the data, I wrote summaries, then posted all of it, constantly editing it to push it up the wiki scale. Then you come along and change everything to your liking without consensus. Now you want to chase me out of here because you can't follow the rules. You copy and paste all my work and take none of my advice. If you are so committed to this endeavor why don't you do the pages that aren't done yet or are you waiting for me to do all the bookwork. I asked not to revert proper edits. You have had no grounds to undo any of my work. All I have done is clean up where it was needed. You refuse to allow me to contribute. I should be flattered however, since it seems you were so attracted to my work that you felt the need to be so much a part of it to the point of removing me from it. You are jealous, petty, and vindictive. You have no sense of community or collaboration. You are blind and ignorant because you can't discern proper conduct from poor. When someone helps you, say thank you. If you have an idea, say I would to share it with you. If you have a problem, you say may I discuss it with you. Now that we are done with pre-school, would you like to try for kindergarten. Nahhh, who am I kidding. Libro0 (talk) 12:51, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

STOP

You are just trolling. I know asking you to stop is meaningless, but here goes. Please stop! --Baseball Card Guy (talk) 11:44, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

Me stop? Look I am sorry I got upset about your writing. I should have been more patient. But this vengeance campaign of yours has to stop. If you tried to work with me as hard as you do to get me banned we might have completed all of the sports card pages by now. Libro0 (talk) 13:19, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

What is the point of the rambling comments you left on my talk page? Are you trying to egg me on? You seem to only generate enemies here and accuse people of things when things do not go your way. Can you please start acting with some civility? --I Hate CAPTCHAS (talk) 14:15, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

Userpage

If one editor keeps adding the tag wrongly and will not cease, even with administrator intervention, they should be blocked. If its multiple users, then we can look into options such as semi-protecting it or full protecting it (in which case you wouldn't be able to edit it either). MBisanz 01:11, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

Okey, I'll full protect then. Ping me if you need changes made or protection downgraded. I'm setting it for 1 year just to avoid headaches down the road. MBisanz 01:37, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

Still haven't left?

Look asshole just leave. This is your final warning.

Hi and thanks for asking my opinion about Euro squads. There is no problem in extending the squads to quaterfinalists if we have reliable references. I have answered here, but you have my support.--Latouffedisco (talk) 09:24, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

Category:Misplaced Pages sockpuppets of Libro0

I've emptied this category and deleted it under CSD C1 (Empty Categories). As the only user listed was Omero Tognon, and his/her contributions do not offer any direct evidence, and the claim was unsubstantiated, and the claim was made by a user now indefinitely blocked for abusive sockpuppetry, I think it's safe to assume good faith that you don't operate that user as a sockpuppet. Please let me know if there is anything further I can do. Thanks, UltraExactZZ ~ Evidence 12:19, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

Your sockpuppet allegation

Hello. I saw your allegation when I was asking about another potential copyright problem. The images that I tagged and were subsequently removed were due to copyright concerns, mainly the user had uploaded images taken from elsewhere that were not their own, but claimed that they were their own work. Please see: this. Looking at you talk page, it appears that your images were deleted because they were orphaned.

I do not want to get involved in your trading card edit war. I really have no interest in trading cards and all I did was add the metric conversions, as not everyone uses the American standards of measurement. stumbled upon the article and thought it would be a good idea to include the globally accepted measurment standard to that as well as one another one in the series in the hopes that someone who actually cares about them would add them to the rest of the articles. If you are seeing sockpuppets everywhere perhaps it is time to pause and take a deep breath before accusing people of things. Just because you feel like you were burned doesn't mean you should do the same to others. Die Profis - Die nächste Generation (talk) 04:05, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

Writing here was the worst thing you could have done. You have exposed your poor writing skills and have knowledge of things not likely for a brand new user. When will you learn to play by the rules. Libro0 (talk) 06:12, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

W-L-T/W-D-L format discussion

Our discussion is complete and everything has been settled. The decision was to make all North American pages in the W-L-T and Away-Home format. Any pages that need work are listed on my home page. You'll know more there. As for format reflecting time period, I'm not quite sure what you're getting at there. Let me know. --Otav347 (talk) 20:34, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

I still don't understand how the different era can determine what format it is in. If you're comparing it to other US Open Cup pages, they haven't been changed yet, so that is irrelevant. Let me know what source you're getting the info from and then I'll take a look at it. --Otav347 (talk) 21:57, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

I have no idea what you're trying to tell or ask me. MLS Standings should be presented W-L-T for the era in which they didn't have a shootout or any other factors. Theasfl (talk) 20:42, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

I agree with his methods. Theasfl (talk) 20:48, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
I'll tell you what. Until (or if) I can find consistent sources either way, I'll make you a line of demarcation. Anything before 1949 (known as the National Challenge Cup) can be in the Home-Away format. Anything from 1949 or later (known as the US Open Cup) will be in the Away-Home format. Since the USOC is the only topic of discussion regarding this situation, that's how I'll leave it. Agreed? --Otav347 (talk) 21:11, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

Baseball card war

I think it may be a good idea if you would stand down from editing the baseball card articles. You and Baseball Card Guy seem to have issues. These issues are getting in the way of any productive discussion and there seems to be a lot of passive aggressive behavior between the two of you. It seems like both parties are egging each other on trying to get into a fight. That is not productive nor is it going to accomplish anything except cause anger on both sides. Things between the two of you have seemed to been escalating and if they continue things could get out of hand. Your Radio Enemy (talk) 13:50, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

War?! What 'war'? Are you referring to the calm discussion I was having with you? Well, I was calm at least. I don't know about you but I am not fighting anyone. All I have done is make proper and verifiable edits. Please take my advice and reread the discussion. If you need to , ask anybody to help explain some of those ideas to you for clarification. Strange how 'you' and 'him' both consider the discussion to be like verbal combat. There have been no harsh words on my part. Libro0 (talk) 18:13, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

1938 FIFA World Cup squads - Dutch East Indies

Sorry, following your last edit, DEI has three GKs...something really rare at the period. So maybe van Beusekom didn't take part at the tournament? Great edit, however! --necronudist (talk) 08:55, 19 July 2008 (UTC)

Copyright applies to derivative images

There is no such thing as a valid non-free fair use when all you've done is combine a number of copyrighted images. Such a montage is still a derivative work and subject to copyright. --Orange Mike | Talk 20:17, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

Wikistalking? Give me a break

I make a legitimate move of an article, in this case St. Matthew's, you think I am wikistalking you? No. In monitoring your activities to check that you aren't making any more absurd allegations like you did here, I was able to find a problem that I was able to fix. Something you apparently missed with your narrow focus. Did you ever think that most people who are searching for St. Matthew's would not expect to find an article about some obscure soccer team that only lasted one season? I moved the article for the obscure soccer team to St. Matthew's (soccer team), where it should have been all along. St. Matthew's now has a disambiguation page with over two dozen things that people have a much higher likelihood of relevance. If anyone is digging a hole it is you since you seem to be on the attack. I did not delete the article. I did not do anything out of malice. I am, however vigilant when it comes to you since you seem to tar anyone you have issues with as a sockpuppet and now as a wikistalker. If anyone is acting poorly in this matter it is you with your allegations and lies. Your Radio Enemy (talk) 17:47, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

I am trying to share information and follow the guidelines. Please learn what community and compromise are. You have prevented me from continuing to add information to the pages. Any further unwarranted reverts will however be considered vandalism. Libro0 (talk) 18:19, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

  • You are not making sense because you seem to be confusing me with someone else. I just want you to stop with your passive aggressive attacks, lies, and holier than thou attitude. I asked nicely for you and Baseball Card Guy to stop and take a time out and then you accuse me of being a sockpuppet. If anyone is harassing or in denial it is you. I just made a few edits to a goddamed article about goddammed baseball cards and because I disagree with you I am some sort of evil person who is not even a person that is not even me. If anyone needs to learn what community and compromise are it is you. You see some intricate web of conspiracy out to get you. You need to first take a break from Misplaced Pages and maybe consider getting some professional help. Just stop. Any further accusations, spreading of lies in your passive aggressive manner and the like will be considered harassment. I'll be watching you since you need to be watched especially given your track record. You should take a look at this before you start accusing people of things.
