Regarding the article you wrote about yourself

You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.

Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Misplaced Pages:No original research, Misplaced Pages:Neutral point of view, and Misplaced Pages:Verifiability.

If you are not "notable" under Misplaced Pages guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Misplaced Pages is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Misplaced Pages, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See Misplaced Pages:Wikipedians with articles.) Thank you. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 01:30, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

Re your message: As I noted above, writing about yourself is strongly discouraged. The article was deleted because you do not currently meet the notability guidelines for inclusion on Misplaced Pages. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 01:56, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
Re your message: I'm sorry, but I can not let your page remain until October 28. Please stop recreating it. If your school project really is to write about yourself, then your teacher should not have assigned such an item as a class project to write about yourself on Misplaced Pages would not be allowed to remain. Also, please remain civil in your comments on Misplaced Pages. Thank you. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 02:11, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Johann Gabiger

A tag has been placed on Johann Gabiger requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. THEN WHO WAS PHONE? (talk) 02:10, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
