Re : Let me help you with the easiest item first, which is question if you have a conflict of interest or not. With that, I recommend that you unequivocally state if you have a COI or not. If you have no relation to the band per the COI page, then clearly state such as in ''"I have no conflict of interest regarding this article."'' If you do have a COI, then you need to come clean with what your relation is. You '''do not''' have to identify yourself, but if you do have a COI, you need to say something like ''"I am/was the former (blank) for Cary and/or the band."'' If ] is your alternate account, you need to state as such (and then stop using it).

As for the question about third-party sources, you have provided some. Providing additional citations for <nowiki></nowiki> tagged items and using the ] within the article would help. -- ] (]) 05:59, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

Notability of Cary Jordan

A tag has been placed on Cary Jordan requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Misplaced Pages guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. GaryColemanFan (talk) 18:30, 6 July 2008 (UTC)

Re your message: You do not need to provide proof that Cary Jordan is a real person. I have no doubt about that. The problem is not if he exists or not, but if he is notable enough for inclusion on Misplaced Pages. As noted in the message above, the problem is that he does not currently meet the notability guidelines for musicians for inclusion on Misplaced Pages. Perhaps in the future he will if he has a hit record/album or joins a notable band. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 19:00, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
Re your message: With neither band having an article on Misplaced Pages, their notability is questionable. You are welcome to recreate the article, but you need to provide sources for why he is notable. Has there been any independent coverage of him such as newspaper, magazine, or online articles? The same thing goes with the two bands. If you can provide such citations, the more likely it is that the article will remain on Misplaced Pages. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 19:13, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
Re your message: It appears that you have found the correct article and that they have remained on Misplaced Pages instead of getting deleted. Did you still have another question? -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 05:07, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
Re your message: You're welcome. As for the categorizing, what I recommend is looking at the articles of similar artists and groups and copying the categories (modifying if necessary) over. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 06:00, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

Your recent edits

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Misplaced Pages pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Speedy deletion of Fusebox funk

A tag has been placed on Fusebox funk requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. ukexpat (talk) 15:16, 7 July 2008 (UTC)

Welcome to Misplaced Pages. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Fusebox Funk has been reverted. Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Misplaced Pages. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Misplaced Pages. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): rule: '\bmyspace\.com' (link(s): http://www.myspace.com/fuseboxfunk) . If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, or similar site, then please check the information on the external site thorougly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creators copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).

If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. Please read Misplaced Pages's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks!
