ArbCom on Ehud Lesar

Your quite extensive statement , which exceeded in length the statements of those who are already involved parties, is an indication of the level of familiarity. I hope you will be able to make valuable contribution as an involved party to help ArbCom in achieving its decision. This shall serve as your notice. Atabek (talk) 00:40, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

Misplaced Pages:Requests for arbitration/Ehud Lesar

Hi Marshall

We've had some great work done on the Armenian Air Force by one contributer, user:Askari Mark, but now that the new Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Military history/National militaries task force is coming together, I'd like to concentrate on some of the less well known armies as well. Are you aware of information you could direct me to - or translate, maybe - about the current status, locations, units etc of the Armenian Army to add to the article? Buckshot06 (talk) 21:52, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for your support and pointers on this issue Marshall. While I'm not going to make much progress on Armenia, another country I'm interested in is Turkey. Would you have any pointers or local info sources on finding out the current structure of the Turkish Army - brigades, locations, etc? I've pretty much found everything there is in English on the 'Net. Thanks Buckshot06 (talk) 01:53, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Stop with the propaganda.

You don't need to use newly invented vocabulary words like "genocide denialism" or "Historical revisionism" to discredit or attack my opinions or editing style. It's simply not nice.

I have never denied the hundreds of thousands of Armenians that died or suffered and thus I am not denying any facts, I am simply showing the difference in my opinion on the label of genocide being applied to the killings. Though inexcusable as ANY killings are, it is also inexcusable for Armenians to massacre Turks with or without provocation. And you and I both know the massacres were equally inhumane on both sides, but from the thousands of Talat Pasha and Enver Pasha telegrams I've read I find it odd that anyone would conclude it was a state-sponsored genocide, when it was more a local violence created by Christian-Islamic tensions ignited from a minority Armenian Rebellion.

So please take care of your POV edits in articles, and make sure when you cite sources that you are not concluding for the reader but rather presenting FACTS for the reader to draw his own conclusions.

I am not here to argue with you or fight with you, and you should really cease to "pursue" me, and simply persecute my opinions or my verifiable editing simply because you disagree with me. Reporting me to administrators or making ANIs about me, will only show your true intentions as a suppressor of information. I mean no offense to you, and I like your contributions, and respect your help in wikipedia, but I believe you really should give me a chance to correct the POV edits as these POV edits ONLY DAMAGE your belief that a genocide did occur. Are we not searching for the truth?

Also "Your comments on your user page are insulting and offensive and Misplaced Pages administrators will take action since it is obvious soapboxing." -- I have done no such offense. Please do not accuse me of violations I did not commit, it's simply not nice and will only backfire against you.

Thank you for your time and concern, I'll be more careful with my edits to make sure I'm not being POV in any way, and I hope you'll do the same. — § _Arsenic99_ 22:55, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

Marshal Bagramyan

Not sure if you noticed, but I did some editing in the article, but decided to do a bit more in my sandbox. I will try to connect his career with specific operations. Just a note that I think the cavalry regiment he commanded was stationed in Alexopol, and not the Alexopol cavalry regiment. Can you confirm this at all?--Shattered Wikiglass (talk) 09:38, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Urartu , Hayasa pages and Armens

Somebody removed the History of Armenia template again from Urartu and Hayasa pages, please put it back. They are removing from certain pages as they desire, yet other pages are kept in the same form, which they give excuse on certain pages for cluttering. It is vandalism. Also, the Armens page, the recent removal by DougWeller is POV, since we provided the sources, and it was always there. 206.148.196.12 (talk) 20:14, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

It appears that User:Nicklausse (http://en.wikipedia.org/Special:Contributions/Nicklausse) , is a socket pocket of Sumerophile, which received a 3RR just recently on vandalism, please verify this, he is editing the same ways as Sumerophile, and same pages he is vandalizing.

Please file a report at Misplaced Pages:Suspected sock puppets

Եղիշե Իշխանյան

Hi MarshallBagramyan, բարև։ Would you like to create an article about the first prime minister of Nagorno Karabakh? We have already one on the Armenian Misplaced Pages։ Greets. --Vacio (talk) 10:30, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

Hi again! I’ve tried to make something of it: Jeghishe Ishkhanian. I should be grateful to you if you look at it and if necessary make alterations or corrections... With kind regards.--Vacio (talk) 16:49, 31 May 2008 (UTC)

Hi Marshall, I am trying to piece together some information regarding my wifes Great Grandfather named Alexander Chernishev born around 1840/1860. We believe he was a high ranking officer in the Russian Army, and was sent to the Kars fortress for defence purposes. There we believe he had a daughter born called Maria Alexandrovna. Would you possess any information or could you perhaps point me in the right direction.

Stepan Malkhasyants orphan tag

I put the orphan tag on the Stepan Malkhasyants article due to the lack of pages that link to it, as shown here. As you can see, only one other article links to it, an unusually small number. I shall leave the decision on whether or not to put the tag back up in your hands, though I would strongly advise you to do so, as there really are very few articles linked to that page. If you have any questions, just drop me a line on my talk page and I'll be happy to get back to you as soon as I can. Happy editing! AP1787 (talk) 05:22, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Armenian BM-21.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Armenian BM-21.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Misplaced Pages. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Misplaced Pages (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 06:33, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

Image permission problem with Image:Armenia in the Fourth Century, 299-387.png

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Armenia in the Fourth Century, 299-387.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the image (or other media file) agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the image to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the image has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Misplaced Pages:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Misplaced Pages:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the image's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Misplaced Pages:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Images lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. 72.90.66.94 (talk) 02:22, 27 December 2008 (UTC)

Do you have evidence of this permission being given? I have OTRS access; I can process the permission email. Cheers, John Vandenberg 10:00, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:Armenia in the Fourth Century, 299-387.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Misplaced Pages's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
