User talk page deletion

Hi. You deleted User talk:Mikkalai, with the explanation "U1: User request to delete pages in own userspace". But Misplaced Pages:CSD#U1 specifically excludes user talk pages from being deleted at the user's request. Most probably I'm missing something. Could you please explain? Reverting and undo

Just a heads-up in case this was a misunderstanding of how reverting should work, rather than a misclick - in this edit you removed rightly-inappropriate material by reverting to the version of the article one step prior to its addition. As you can see from the diff link, this had the side-effect of undoing two other, valid edits which were made after the NASCAR one.

If you want to revert a single edit from somewhere in the article history, use the "undo" link next to that edit. In most cases, this will let you excise that single edit (although if other editors have changed the relevant section since, you'll have to wade in and do it manually). --McGeddon (talk) 11:04, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

Assistance needed

Hi. The article ESStonia needs to be speedied under G10 as it disparages a people. This is worse than a neologism, it is a protologism, a neologism that hasn't caught on yet, and I don't think english Misplaced Pages should be used as a vehicle to promote protologisms that disparge people. You might want to speedy User:Russavia/eSStonia too. This needs to be nipped in the bud before it gets out of hand. Thanks. Martintg (talk) 00:17, 23 January 2009 (UTC)

Deletion of file

In regards to the image being used on eSStonia, I believe you have overstepped the mark of an admin and deleted the image. It is not copyrightable as it is consists only of text and colour. As such, it can't be copyrighted. Much the same as the Coca-Cola logo, is not copyrightable. It is however trademarkable, but that is a different concept altogether. I will be moving the image over to commons as it is PD. --Russavia 07:40, 23 January 2009 (UTC)

Fun fact: the Coca-Cola logo is very much copyrightable. However, its copyright term has run out, and that's why copyright law does not apply to it. Διγουρεν_{Εμπρος!} 18:32, 23 January 2009 (UTC)

Ambassadors and envoys from the Soviet Union to Poland
