A "Vendor Portal" or "Supplier Portal" is an important component in a complete supply chain solution which allows your suppliers to work in a self-serve environment.

Purpose

The primary goal of a Vendor Portal is to lower the overall cost per transaction. This means lowering of overall cost period - for both the Vendor (Supplier) and the Retailer. The expected consequence of lowered overall cost per transaction is a lower overall cost of The Product passed on to The Customer, and therefore a competitive advantage in The Market.
