Motto of the Day Free Ice Cream Day!
By Imperial Decree of His Divine Majesty, our Most Sublime Padishah God-Emperor, Car'a'carn, Editor-in-Chief, etc. (may he live for ever) of the Dominion of the Motto of the Day, every Thursday is Free Ice Cream Day throughout the the Realm. Therefore, our glorious ruler (may he live for ever) has caused to be delivered to you by the Ministry of Frozen or Otherwise Cold Desert Treats this ice cream treat (which may include gelato, depending on one's interpretation of the picture). Let it be eaten without delay, lest the heat of the servers melt it. Let it not drip onto the Article Namespace, lest you suffer the Death of a Thousand Edits for allowing unencyclopedic melted desert treat to get into the wiki. Hello
Hi, I had a hard time finding someone with js experience. You see, I have this Java script that lets me edit Misplaced Pages that someone gave me to help me make large amounts of Insect species. But I want to learn how it works, sense I have no prior experience with programming. I also want to know how I can make the abbreviation, if you need further elaboration, or you want me to send you the script via E-mail (Because it would be like gold to vandals) just tell me on my talk page. Buɡboy52.4 (talk) 04:17, 14 April 2009 (UTC)
- Well, I tried learning it, but its just a bit to difficult for now. But the script isn't loose. Meaning that I could only insert infermation that will be replicated for all the pages, and were I had ***, will be replaced by the name of the articles. For example, If you compare Bactromantis virga & Bactromantis mexicana, they have the same content except for three places the page title is, were I put the ***. If you look down to the references, they both have the same reference, and now compare them to Bantia chopardi & Bantia fusca, they have the same references, except for the name of the previous genus replaced by the new genus. And as you can see, the genus is stated as the first part of the binomial name, as Bantia fusca's genus is Bantia, is it possible to program it to remove the last part of the binomial name, from Bantia fusca to just Bantia; possible indicating this action with only two, **. Another problem is the taxobox, were the species is indicated, the binomial name should be abbreviated to B. fusca, can this be programed too, maybe with only one, *. Tell me your E-mail, or some other way to give you the script. Buɡboy52.4 (talk) 19:32, 14 April 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry, I didn'yt expect him to come back, but thanks anyway! Bugboy52.4 (talk) 14:05, 15 April 2009 (UTC)
New image project
Hi. This little form letter is just a courtesy notice to let you know that a proposal to merge the projects Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Free images, Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Fair use, Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Moving free images to Wikimedia Commons and Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Illustration into the newly formed Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Images and Media has met with general support at Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Council/Proposals/Files. Since you're on the rosters of membership in at least one of those projects, I thought you might be interested. Conversation about redirecting those projects is located here. Please participate in that discussion if you have any interest, and if you still have interest in achieving the goals of the original project, we'd love to have you join in. If you aren't interested in either the conversation or the project, please pardon the interruption. :) Thanks. Moonriddengirl 13:23, 23 April 2009 (UTC)

Killing Joke
ok i undid ur edits. the eps and studio albums are in one chronology for a reason: Because they're studio recorded. they need to be in the same chronology so viewers know what came next in order. eventually, i'll add in the live albums. but thatll be a while for now because im working on the singles for Killing Joke. Please leave it as it was for now. --J miester25 (talk) 20:27, 1 May 2009 (UTC)

Stalky-stalk
Do you think this might be interpreted as stalking? This guy hates Soviet apologism. This has been happening to me since May 10ish... PasswordUsername (talk) 04:17, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
- Fully agree. Misplaced Pages wasn't intended for this (I hope ;-)). PasswordUsername (talk) 08:15, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
- I don't think you can truthfully say that any Wikipedian supports justifying the atrocities Soviets committed. Since you're familiar with issues of human rights, you should be aware of the uncounted souls wretched by the Gulag, the troikas, Kolyma and other assorted murders. ΔιγουρενΕμπρος! 10:35, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
- I don't think anyone is interested in justifying anything. Lecture for another day? PasswordUsername (talk) 10:37, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
Armenian infrastructure
Hi,
I was actually passing by to discuss this edit. I don't think it's noteworthy; since every government needs infrastructure, it stands to reason that every government, every administration would maintain existing infrastructure and build new one. It only becomes relevant in an encyclopædic article if the infrastructure is in some regard noteworthy -- perhaps maintained exceptionally well or exceptionally poorly, or based on unusual technological solutions such as the Sharopoyezd. Would you agree? ΔιγουρενΕμπρος! 10:42, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
- I regret that you confused my remark as being of political nature. I would like to emphasise that it is not; the question is only what and how should be reflected in Misplaced Pages articles for them to be appropriately encyclopædic.
- With that in mind, would you agree that a baseline level of infrastructure construction is not something that would need to be explicitly mentioned in the narrative of Armenia? ΔιγουρενΕμπρος! 11:08, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
