Do you want to add the correct copyright on the Malkin's picture from my flick account? I have no idea how to do it.... kheldar2002 (talk) 20:46, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

So basically I would have to change the copyright on my flickr pics? That's fine, in any case, they're not super high resolution... I'll do for the Malkin's one for now, if you need more, let me know ! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kheldar2002 (talkcontribs) 18:02, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

Your comments regarding James Naismith

First off, let me be clear that I've no stake in the James Naismith matter other than helping to maintain the stability of a frequently vandalized article. If consensus supports the changes you have proposed, then that is great. It is important, however, to clarify that you have incorrectly (and, I feel, unfairly) described it as an "edit war with an admin". Keep in mind that your initial change was made without explanation or comment; it was reverted because it was unexplained, on an article with a relatively high rate of vandalism, and because you appeared to be the first person in the history of the article to make such a change. (I could not find any indication of it ever having been a subject for discussion, let alone a controversy.) You only left a note on the article's talk page after our back-and-forth, and there was no mention that the discussion had moved to the NBA page (which would have been helpful). As for the "admin" part, at no time did that become a factor in the issue. Furthermore, please keep in mind that any admin who tried to "shoot down" an editor by using the admin bit to his or her advantage in a content dispute would find themselves being shot down (in a far more serious manner) shortly thereafter. Thanks for your understanding with regards to this matter. --Ckatzspy 20:57, 8 June 2009 (UTC)

Sokil Kyiv and GA

Was just looking over GA nominations, and noticed that Sokil Kyiv was not listed as a nominee, even though the talk page of the article says it is. Which probably means that you may have not added it to the list. Might want to add it there so someone can review it. Kaiser matias (talk) 00:02, 9 June 2009 (UTC)

It had to have been added to Misplaced Pages:Good article nominations#Sports and recreation. I may be wrong, but I couldn't find it on that list. Kaiser matias (talk) 00:43, 9 June 2009 (UTC)

Rusyn flag

Hi. You raise some very important questions about the validity of the Rusyn flag in Rusyns. I removed the tag placed on 10 June by IP based on the description of Rusyn flag.svg in Commons. If this is not sufficient and you believe that the flag is bogus, I suggest removing it immediately and looking for references and justifications later. In any way, you are more qualified to look into this issue than I. Best, --Zlerman (talk) 00:26, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

Ukrainian Major League

Please explain why you are using these flags for cities? For example the team Patriot Vinnytsia in Vinnytsia not Vinnytsia Oblast, so these flags do not add credabilty to your article, do they? Cheers --Ilyaroz (talk) 03:01, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

Crosby article and Russian stuff

I have replaced your latest addition to the Sidney Crosby article. Although I have left in the instance of the missed handshake, your edit made it seem that he purposely stood back and "neglected" to shake hands with Lidstrom... this is not truthful and I have yet to see an article of true note that says he did it on purpose. In fact, it seems that about half of the Pens were late shaking hands -- as the CBC announcer said: the Pens were late to shaking hands due to the celebration (not just Crosby). I think you crossed the WP:NPOV line a little bit there - but it happens... I have replaced it with something a little more reasonable that tells both sides of the story. I'll be honest though... it sounds like Draper just has some sour grapes... and I am not sure if the event is all that notable.

On a side note, I've observed your interest in the Russian side of hockey... was wondering if you wanted to contribute to http://icehockey.wikia.com ... Same idea as wikipedia, but much broader in the realm of hockey. DMighton (talk) 12:13, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

I felt "neglected" was very neutral, as opposed to "avoided", for example. If I "neglected" to make my bed today, it's not malicious, just something that I never got around to. --Lvivske (talk) 17:11, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
Sadly it didn't come across like that... by only supporting it with a one-perspective negative quote, you (probably accidentally) turned the connotation of "neglected" from being distracted to wanton disregard. Either way though.... it is 100x better now... so the issue is solved. Although, I still wonder if in 6 months if anyone will care to remember this alleged situation.
Still, check out... http://icehockey.wikia.com ...I think you could be very helpful there. DMighton (talk) 20:02, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
It isn't like that... Ice Hockey Wiki is not a rival... in fact we work with Misplaced Pages. If an article is deemed not notable on Misplaced Pages... because of our broader scope... it gets "Transwiki"'d to IHW. I personally do 80% of my work on here and about 20% on IHW. Our Russian hockey portal could use some work... think about it and if you get a chance, give it a shot. DMighton (talk) 20:36, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

HC CSKA Moscow

I was under the impression that you could compare Red Army's league titles to Stanley Cups, since in the Soviet/Russian league the regular season champ is reckoned as league champ. What am I missing here? Blueboy96 17:54, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
