Shortcuts

The WikiCup is a championship that takes place every year on Misplaced Pages. The cup is played and won by skill of editing. The purpose of the cup is to encourage mainspace editing and make editing fun here on Misplaced Pages. Entry is available for any registered user; experience doesn't matter.

The plan for the layout of the 2009 tournament is as follows:

  • January 1 to March 28 – 60 users left – 10 groups of 6, top two from each group progress, as well as the top ten of all remaining users.
  • April 1 to May 30 – 30 users left – 6 groups of 5, top one progress, as well as the top ten of all remaining users.
  • June 1 to July 29 – 16 users left – 4 groups of 4, top one progresses, as well as the top four of all remaining users.
  • August 1 to September 30 – 8 users left – 1 group of 8. On September 1, the bottom four are eliminated; the top four continue with their same score until the end.

When the cup is won, a special template with the cup on will be placed on their user talkpage. The colour of the border will depend on the colours of the flag of the country that they represented. For contest results, please see /2007, /2008, and /2009.

The judges for the WikiCup are Garden (talk · contribs · email), IMatthew (talk · contribs · email), and Thehelpfulone (talk · contribs · email). All can be reached by their talk pages, the WikiCup talk page, or in the IRC channel, irc://irc.freenode.net/wikicup. Also, check this page to see if your question was already answered.
