I've declined a speedy deletion tag you placed on the above-captioned article, but I wanted to say that I don't blame you for a moment for placing it; it was such a mess that I very nearly overlooked the assertion that the individual was a member of the Indian parliament myself (the equivalent of a state representative or senator in the US system). I'm going to tidy it up a bit. ]:<small>]</small> 21:39, 30 July 2009 (UTC) I've declined a speedy deletion tag you placed on the above-captioned article, but I wanted to say that I don't blame you for a moment for placing it; it was such a mess that I very nearly overlooked the assertion that the individual was a member of the Indian parliament myself (the equivalent of a state representative or senator in the US system). RfA...

...turns out to be short for "Request for Arrows". :) Thank you for your support and coming to my defense when I talked too much. :) This has been a hard but useful experience (useful experiences often are hard) and whether I ever accept a nomination again or not, I'm willing to address the cautions of the sincere Opposers and try to do better. And you'll get your cheese sandwich in my next e-mail. If I can figure out how to get it into that 3 1/2 inch slot in the PC. Baseball Bugs 02:54, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

Reverting my edit on Watchmen characters

I understand that it was redirected a long time ago. I did not see a discussion regarding the merge. I did however see the AfD which was in favor of keeping. Therefore I am reverting it. I understand your merge was bold however I disagree with it so I am asking that you discuss it before reverting my edit. I gave my reason for keeping the article on the talk page of Characters in Watchmen. Thanks :) Valoem 16:43, 16 March 2009 (UTC)

Sorry I was a little hestiant in reverting Ozymandias as he was not as main a character as the others however he has established notability by being featured in the forbes fictional 15. Also I never saw any consensus for the merge I tried searching on the talk page and AfD. Valoem 16:51, 16 March 2009 (UTC)

I'm a little confused I looked at the AfD and it looked like consensus was in favor of keeping those articles. Where was it discussed otherwise? It seems someone redirected and no one contested it (actually it looks like it was contested just not by established users). However, I am now contesting it, mainly because the characters are also featured in a film and a video game not just one comic book. I'm sure you would agree with me now right? :) Valoem 16:55, 16 March 2009 (UTC)

Regarding your post on our edits on Ruby Gloom

How about I put the citation as "see Ruby Gloom skit titled 'Mr. Mummbles'. " Kagome 77 (talk) 11:03, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

I fixed it. The citation now says Ruby Gloom Skit: "The Mr. Mummbles How-to Show". This should work for that citation, since you should not link a youtube video to that, since the video may be taken down later on, due to copyright violations or other things. Axmann8

Should be renamed "Puppetman" today. Baseball Bugs carrots 23:26, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

Curious

how did you do the upside-down text? .. a converter of some sort on the web? — Ched :  Yes?   : ©  08:29, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

That sounds interesting. Where are you seeing that? Baseball Bugs carrots 08:37, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

Re: Perhaps a temp semi-protect of Versus22's talk page?

Re your message: You must have been watching my screen. =) I just semi-protected his talk page for awhile. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 04:33, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

Re your message: Doesn't bother me any. =) They are still creating new accounts, so we shall see. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 04:41, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

Negush uprising

Please, do not revert back to the version. We've discussed it on the talkpage with two other editors and agreed the article was a hoax and an obvious POV fork of another article. It's up for deletion anyway or maybe for a redirect to the actual article. It was me that removed that info and justified my removal. It wasn't me reverting you later (I'm not the annon), but there is no grounds on which such an imaginative work of fiction should be an article on Misplaced Pages. Thanks for the understanding. --Laveol 07:30, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks for reverting vandalism on my user page, as well across the rest of Misplaced Pages. Keep up the great work, SuperHamster (Talk) (Contributions) 22:03, 19 July 2009 (UTC)

Jack page

Ok, well let me explain. Essentially, you're factually correct, what you're adding is true information. However, the sections you're adding it to are very short compact ones to summarily describe the character's history in the order it was revealed (sujet as opposed to fabula) and in minimal, essential detail. There is one line later on that discusses Jack's immortality works "either by resurrection or invulnerability" (with a citation to "Utopia" after the word invulnerability). That paragraph, mind, probably does need work but it's the only place in the article that the information should be discussed at length (although, very little length, at that). It's not essential for a reader who wants to know the character's history to know beyond the word "immortality".~Zythe 22:20, 25 July 2009 (UTC)

Learn something new every day

Thanks for changing that title, I never realized that wikicode borks the ToC. - 2/0 (cont.) 19:08, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

Be careful what you revert

In this edit, what you reverted was a good-faith request for a G7 speedy deletion. There were no substantial edits by others. -- Blanchardb -- timed 02:33, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

ANI

Regarding this incredibly rude, pointed, sarcastic comment: All I can say is... I wish I'd thought of it. :) Baseball Bugs carrots 03:16, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

All I know is, Tan handed you a great setup and you knocked it out of the park. The issue now is how to semi-tactfully answer the question, "What does that mean?" although in normal English we would probably say it more like, "What's that supposed to mean?" Baseball Bugs carrots 03:27, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
Leaving it for Tan to answer is probably the best thing, and only fair since he's the one who brought up the part about being a social leper, or whatever term it was that he used. Baseball Bugs carrots 03:32, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
One thing worth pointing out is your comparison of prickly users to giants, transformers, etc. That may be true for some. Others can turn out to be more like clay pigeons. Baseball Bugs carrots 03:30, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, sorry about that. I took too long adding the tags, so by the time I made my edit the article had been recreated. So I tried to get a CSD template on, but nothing fit precisely. D: ZS 19:16, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

Warnings about edit warring on two different pages

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Misplaced Pages talk:WikiProject Tennis shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. 89.108.146.125 (talk) 22:54, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
