The Confidant is currently in post production. Her closest friends affectionately refer to her as "Mizz Moore".

Moore's first producing venture was a film entitled Haitian Nights, written by ] and Marc Cayce. After losing the director of the film, due to unknown circumstances, Moore took over the post herself thereby becoming actor, director, and producer. However, delays on set were normal, often caused by Moore herself.

Moore now claims, however, that she is no longer involved with the Haitian Nights. The movie is not listed on her website and she does not consider this to be her first attempt at producing. At one point, Any reference to Haitian Nights on her personal site was followed by the message "Kenya Moore is no longer involved with "Haitian Nights". We ask that her fans support her in her upcoming films instead." All references to Haitian Nights have since been removed from her website. <ref>http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&hs=J0x&q=Kenya+Moore+is+no+longer+involved+with+Haitian+Nights&aq=f&oq=&aqi=</ref> As of 2009, it has yet to be released. Her second attempt at producing was a feature entitled The Confidant. It began principle production on May 13th, 2009 and was also plagued with problems. Moore was heavily disliked by the majority of the crew and insisted the she be referred to as "Mizz Moore", specifically spelled with two Z's, at all times. More than one of the checks written to the cast and crew were returned due to insufficient funds in her company's bank account. This did not, however, stop her from throwing a party in ] on June 27th, 2009, that allegedly cost upwards of $30,000 to celebrate her company and show scenes from the film.<ref>Moore Vision Media Launch Party Invitation - http://photos-d.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs116.snc1/4972_98995492820_570092820_2462107_1078874_n.jpg</ref> The movie is currently in post production.<ref>The Confidant on IMDb - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1449394/</ref>

Kenya Summer Moore (born January 24, 1971) is an American film and television actress, producer, model and author.

Moore was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan by her grandmother (and primary inspiration). She is of African-American ancestry, and is a graduate of Cass Technical High School; whose other notable alumni include Diana Ross, David Alan Grier, Lily Tomlin, and Miss USA 1990 Carole Gist (the first African American to win). After high school, she went to Wayne State University where she majored in Psychology.

Moore competed in numerous beauty pageants in 1993; first becoming Miss Michigan USA, then Miss USA 1993, and then competing in Miss Universe 1993, where she finished fifth.

At Miss Universe 1993, Kenya was heavily booed after becoming one of the 10 semifinalists. This was attributed to Kenya's entry into the top 10, while Miss Mexico 1993 failed to make the cut. It gained attention in 2007 when Miss USA Rachel Smith was booed at Miss Universe in Mexico again. Both women were of African-American descent competing against Mexican women of white descent.

Kenya has appeared on the cover of several major magazines, including Glamour, Seventeen, Ebony and Essence. She is recognizable for her roles in movies such as Waiting to Exhale, Deliver Us from Eva and the 2007 Lindsay Lohan thriller I Know Who Killed Me. In addition to her guest hostess spot on BET's Video Soul, Moore made guest appearance roles in notable sitcoms such as The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Living Single, The Jamie Foxx Show, Martin, In the House, The Steve Harvey Show and on the UPN sitcoms Girlfriends and The Parkers. One of her best acting roles came in the independent film Trois which also starred Gretchen Palmer and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation star Gary Dourdan. Trois went on to become one of the highest grossing African-American films of 2000.

Kenya has also been featured in several music videos, including R&B group Shai's "I Don't Wanna Be Alone", rapper Nas' "Street Dreams" and the Jay-Z & Jermaine Dupri Grammy-nominated hit "Money Ain't a Thang".

She founded the Kenya Moore Foundation which awards scholarships to under-privileged girls from her high school alma-mater. In 2007, she released her first book Game, Get Some!, that coaches men on how to get the woman of their dreams as she reveals the secrets of what women really desire from men.
