A '''uniform fetish''' is a ] in which someone enjoys dressing in a uniform, or derives sexual pleasure from viewing another person dressed in this manner. It does not require any actual sexual contact ''per se''. Among the commonest uniforms in heterosexual uniform fetish are those of a ], nurse, ], waitress, cheerleader and ]. Homosexual men and heterosexual women may fetishise a man dressed as a policeman, soldier or firefighter. Military uniforms, particularly those of the ] era, are fetishised by men in organizations like ]. The uniforms may be realistic, or made more intensely sexual by being made of leather or latex.

Sometimes, the uniform worn will be chosen to fit with other sexual activities. For example, someone may wear a nurse's uniform to administer an ], or a police uniform to handcuff and cage someone. This may add a sense of authenticity to the role play.
