Welcome!Hello, and welcome to the London Transport WikiProject! We're a group of editors working to improve Misplaced Pages's coverage of London's transport system.
There are a variety of interesting things to do within the project; you're free to participate however much—or little—you like:
- Starting some new articles? Our Manual of style outlines some things to include. The project also provides templates to help you make the perfect article.
- Want to know how good our articles are? The assessment department has rated the quality of every London transport article in Misplaced Pages.
- Suggest an interesting London Transport fact for inclusion on the Did You Know? section of our portal.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask a fellow member, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome! We look forward to seeing you around!

Hi Coolhawks88
Welcome Coolhawks88
Thank you for joining the Law Enforcement Wikiproject on the English Misplaced Pages! As you would have guessed we are a group dedicated to improving Misplaced Pages's coverage of topics related to law enforcement
Since you now are a member you get to have our userbox or banner on your userpage! To add these use:
- {{User WikiprojectPolice}} -- our userbox, or
- {{Lawenforcementmember}} -- our member banner.
Here are some more tips to get you started:
- Creating articles: See here for articles you can create, but dont forget to add ] to the base of the article and our project banner to the talk page of the article using {{Law enforcement}}
- Participate on our talk page: It is highly recommended that you watchlist it. There are also a number of small projects on the talk page as well that may be of interest to you!
- Check the bullentin board: For news and information, please read the bulletin board regularly or add it to you userpage using: {{Lawenforcementbulletinboard}}
- Improve an article: Click here to find all the really short articles, pick one from that list and improve it. When you are done go to the talk page of that article and removed {{Law enforcement| class=Stub}} the bit in bold and another editor will be along to see how well you have done and reassess the article to a much higher class.
All members are reminded:
- That this project aims for: No vandalism, no conflict and if particular articles in this project are suffering from vandalism, edit wars or talk-page abuse, please add it to the Article Watch List
In a nutshell:
- SGGH (Project Co-ordinator)
- Dep. Garcia ( Talk + | Help Desk | Complaints ) (Assistant Co-ordinator)
- Or any project co-ordinator listed on the main project page or members page.
Again, Thank you and Welcome
Hope we make you feel welcomed!

Removing redlinks
Please stop removing valid redlinks. Redlinks on potentially valid topics are supposed to be in articles, to encourage people to create articles on these subjects, and you are deleting large numbers of clearly valid redlinks. — iridescent 20:28, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
Bob Tumolo
A tag has been placed on Bob Tumolo, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done because the page consists only of one sentence and may be about you or a friend.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.
Please refrain from creating inappropriate pages such as Bob Tumolo. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. NawlinWiki 21:41, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

Your flicker copyright violations
Hi. Could you explain to me why my image Image:Battersea Powerstation - Across Thames - London - 020504.jpg appears on your Flickr account with no attribution and a changed licence? Much the same could be asked about your lifting Image:Hyde Park Albert Memorial Jan 2006.jpg as this. Bottom line: just exactly what the hell do you think you're playing at? --Tagishsimon (talk) 12:00, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Northern Ireland
Hi,
I'd like to take the opportunity to advise you on two matters which, being a member or former member of the Northern Ireland WikiProject or it's sister project on Belfast, you might be interested in the following submission about a recent terrorist attack Misplaced Pages:Northern Irish Wikipedians' notice board#News.
I'd also like to take this opportunity to ask for your help in reviving the Northern Ireland WikiProject. Given that there are only a small number of Wikipedians from Northern Ireland or interested specifically in the region, the project needs all the help it can get.
Cheers, --Setanta747 (talk) 13:05, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

Questionnaire
In an effort to assess the progress of Wikiproject Cheshire, it has been decided to send a questionnaire to members. To answer, please copy this questionnaire and paste your answers on the answer page. While participation is, of course, not compulsory, thoughtful answers will help the project to develop and improve. Thank you.
- 1. The project is always looking for new members, so we want to find out which ways of attracting and approaching potential members work best. Do you remember how and why you joined?
- Answer:
- 2. How would you describe your involvement in the project? What activities do you undertake and how often do you edit Cheshire-related article?
- Answer:
- 3. Do you feel like you receive adequate support/contact from project members?
- Answer:
- 4. The project talk page is intended to be the hub of the project, where members discuss articles and help each other improving them. Until very recently it has been almost inactive, but do you check the project talk page?
- Answer:
- 4a. If the talk page was more active, would you get involved in discussions there?
- Answer:
- 4a. If the talk page was more active, would you get involved in discussions there?
- 5. When viewing Cheshire-related articles, are there any issues that have stood out as needing attention or frustrated you? (Traditional counties POV, poor coverage about a particular subject, vandalism going unnoticed etc)
- Answer:
- 6. Maintaining the Cheshire portal is one of the Cheshire WikiProject's main aims, providing a display of the best and most up to date articles that are part of the project. There is currently a drive to promote it to featured status, but input from a wide range of members is needed. Do you have the portal on your watchlist?
- Answer:
- 7. Would you be interesting in subscribing to a newsletter covering North West England, with details of work done by WikiProjects representing Cheshire, Greater Manchester, and Merseyside?
- Answer:
- 8. Finally, are there any improvements or initiatives you'd like to see WP:CHES undertake, or general comments you'd like to make?

Invitation to Misplaced Pages meetup in London
Date: 13:00 onwards, Sunday 10 August 2008
Venue: Penderel's Oak pub, Holborn WC1 map
More information: Misplaced Pages:Meetup/London 12
Hello,
I noticed that you have listed yourself as a Wikipedian in London, so I thought you might like to come to one of our monthly social meetups. The next one is going to be on Sunday 10 August, which might well be rather short notice, but if you can't come this time, we try to have one every second Sunday of the month.
If you haven't been before, these meetups are mainly casual social events for Misplaced Pages enthusiasts in which we chat about Misplaced Pages and any other topics we fancy. It's a great way to meet some very keen Wikipedians, but we'd also love for you to come along if you're interested in finding out more about Misplaced Pages, other Wikimedia projects, or other collaborative wiki projects too.
The location is a pub that is quite quiet and family friendly on a Sunday lunchtime, so hopefully younger Wikipedians will also feel welcome and safe. Alcohol consumption is certainly not required!
Although the meetups are popular, many UK-based editors still don't know about them. It would be great to welcome some fresh faces, so I hope you can come along.
Yours,
James F. (talk) 09:27, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
Please forgive the slightly impersonal mass-invite!
Time for resolution
Hiya. For several months now, the article naming for 18th Century British royals has been ever-which-where — all over the shop. In an attempt to solve this, I have prepared a page for discussion: here. Please, please, please come and discuss, even contribute to the Poll. Cheers! DBD 15:29, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
