My name is Andries Krugers Dagneaux. I am from the Netherlands. Interests are cult/cults, Hinduism, science (esp. physics), electronics (component level), chess. I may make some small mistakes in English, especially in punctuation. My Dutch is excellent but I care more about the English version of wikipedia than the Dutch version. I have become a complete skeptic due to an unfortunate experience with an Indian guru called Sathya Sai Baba. I think Misplaced Pages is a great project.

Excerpt from “BETRAYAL” By SAI BABA "This is the sad story of betrayal of faith and love, of taking advantage and exploitation of a very base nature. My favorite quote is There is a principle which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all arguments and which cannot fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorance - that principle is contempt prior to investigation. by Herbert Spencer Many people would agree with this quote but for psychological reasons, many people only pay lip service to this quote (including me sometimes).

Due to my limited time I will only write about subjects that I know a lot about already.

I don't think that Brianism belongs in wikipedia and at least there should be no links to it in serious articles. It could be listed as a parody religion if the article continues to exist. I like parody religion but it should not be reference to in serious articles.

I am not a Hindu but I see a lot of ignorance and prejudice about Hinduism.

In my experience, it takes a lot of effort to write a good article. Sometimes I think I can rely on my memory of books that I read a while ago but later I find out then some inaccuracies have slipped in. So I really have to re-study the subject to write a good article. I care quite a lot about intellectual accuracy.

There are some subject of which I know so much that I don't know where to start to improve the current articles. These are Sathya Sai Baba (done!), gurus and cults.
