If only it would stay blank.

Decibel

Does the IEEE dictionary really say "The decibel is one-tenth the logarithm to base 10 of the ratio of two power quantities"? I can't find any online book or paper that uses the phrase "one-tenth the logarithm to base 10" in association with decibel. It doesn't make any sense, which is why I'm asking for help checking the source. Dicklyon (talk) 15:11, 11 August 2010 (UTC)

I screwed up; trying to paraphrase a very short definition which on page 288 of the "Authoritative Dictionary" says exactly "Ten times the logarithm to base 10 of a ratio of two powers". I would revert my own edit now except that I'm too busy hanging my head in shame. Please fix this. --Wtshymanski (talk) 15:17, 11 August 2010 (UTC)
Looks like you fixed it nicely. Thanks. Mistakes happen. Dicklyon (talk) 03:38, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

Three revert rule violation at Electric power transmission

You currently appear to have engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If the edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice.
