Hello Cheol, welcome to Misplaced Pages. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. You can learn more on the how to edit page. The naming conventions and style guide pages are also useful. There is a sandbox which you can use to experiment in. If you have any questions, see the help pages or add a question to the village pump. Angela

Hi, where did you get Image:Baekjebronzecenser.jpg? If it is copyrighted, please listed list it on Misplaced Pages:Votes for deletion, because we cannot take others' copyrighted material here. Thank you. --Menchi 04:27, 28 Sep 2003 (UTC)
I got it from Buyeo Museum website, I requested the permission to use. If they do not grant, I will list it on the list. Thanks. Ryuch
I just created wikipedia:images for deletion and moved your image there. Martin 21:52, 20 Oct 2003 (UTC)

King names
Hi, Ryuch. Thanks a lot for all the work you've been doing, especially on Baekje. :-)
As far as the king names go, I think you're basically right: simpler is better. I've just been following the standards at Misplaced Pages:Naming_conventions_(Korean), which were put up by User:Sewing. These standards state that the format should be King X of Y, where X is the ruler's name and Y is the kingdom's name. There hasn't been any discussion of these conventions that I can find.
The current Korean standards do follow Misplaced Pages:Naming_conventions_(monarchs)#Monarchical_titles, which say that we should "pre-emptively disambiguate" the monarch's name by adding the name of the country. This makes sense in Europe, where you have King Charles of Spain, King Charles of England, etc. etc. But as you say, it isn't really necessary in the Korean context, where only a few names (Taejo, Taejong) have been held by more than one person.
I think we could make this change. Here's what I reckon we should do: 1. Start a discussion in Misplaced Pages talk:Naming conventions (Korean), to make sure there are no objections. Also mention it on Misplaced Pages talk:Naming conventions (monarchs) 2. If there are no objections, change the text of Naming conventions (Korean). 3. Move all of the articles to their new names (and change their text also). There are currently about 40 articles that would need to move. 4. Change all of the links in Rulers of Korea to the new format, so that anyone who adds a new article will give it the correct name. ... That's a lot of work, but can be done pretty quickly after step 1 (give it a week or two).
I'll go do step 1 shortly. As you say, simpler is better.
Cheers, and thanks again for your hard work! -- Visviva 03:46, 3 Dec 2004 (UTC)
WikiProject South Korean counties and cities
Hi again, Ryuch! Thanks again for your contributions. If you have time, perhaps you would like to help out with Misplaced Pages:WikiProject South Korean counties and cities. It's an initiative with the goal of massively improving our coverage of South Korean geography. Feel free to discuss or change anything on the project page, too, it's still rather unfinished. Cheers! -- Visviva 04:51, 22 Dec 2004 (UTC)
Unverified image
Thanks for uploading the image
I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status? (You can use {{gfdl}} if you release it under the GFDL, or {{fairuse}} if you claim fair use, etc.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know where you got the image and I'll tag it for you. Thanks, Kbh3rd 05:14, 5 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Hello again from WPSKCC
Hello Mr Cheol,
Please drop by the Nominations section of the WikiProject notice board (here) and vote or nominate your favorite town. I have gotten us started by nominating three counties and cities from the southwest, in the spirit of countering systemic bias. -- Visviva 13:23, 24 July 2005 (UTC)

Your imjinwaeran article
Hi, I stumbled across your imjinwaeran article just now. I merged your article into the more informative Seven-Year War page. Just thought I would inform you, hope you take no offense.--A10203040 08:32, 11 January 2006 (UTC)
Hi
I put the image of the Baekje incense burner for a speedy deletion. I did this because even if permission was given by the museum there isn't any proof of that permission and the image has a fair use rationale. This image: has a creative commons license. I hope this is okay with you. Thanks for your time. Tortfeasor 07:42, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
- I visited Booyeo National Museum and got the permission to use in Misplaced Pages. You could checkt it by asking to the museum. No problem to use in Misplaced Pages! But, if you have better image which has good quality image of the burner you could replace. You don't need to delete - Ryuch
- R: Thanks for the reponse. I don't mean to step on any toes. If you want to remove the tag, that is cool with me. I figured that since we have a better licensed image we could remove the duplicate. Thanks for your time. Tortfeasor 21:56, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
Copyright problems with Image:Daejeonview.jpg
An image that you uploaded, Image:Daejeonview.jpg, has been listed at Misplaced Pages:Copyright problems because it is a suspected copyright violation. Please look there if you know that the image is legally usable on Misplaced Pages (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), and then provide the necessary information there and on its page, if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. YooChung 07:21, 2 April 2007 (UTC)Korean name review
Hi, the article Korean name is undergoing a Featured Article Review right now. As far as I can tell, it's the only Korea-related Featured Article, and I doubt it can survive the way it is now. I noticed you worked on this article before, so I hope you can help now, and maybe continue on to make one or two more Korea-related Featured Articles eventually. Maybe you can contact others who may be interested, since it's not getting much attention right now. Thanks. Chuniac (talk) 18:34, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
Why do you create the task force without discussion?
Suppose that Takeshima/Sea of Japan task force is created after people find your creation of Dokdo/East Sea taskforce? Misplaced Pages is not a place for political agenda even though the recent news regarding Japanese textbook controversy is a motivation for you to do this. However, as far as I've known, you have NOT participated in the past naming disputes or votes, so I'm wondering why you unilaterally decided to create the task force? I believe this is required for pre-discussion with members. --Caspian blue (talk) 10:05, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

Requested move
Cheol -- You may not have noticed that I relisted the projected move of Eulsa Treaty at WP:Requested moves#Current discussions/August 31. It is only prudent for me to alert all contributors in our discussion about changing the name of this article.
Please consider Talk:Eulsa Treaty#Relisting at WP:Requested moves.
On one hand, this can be construed as an unnecessary delay. On the other hand, this ensures the possibility of wider community input which may bring out any points-of-view which remain unstated or glossed over. --Tenmei (talk) 17:16, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
