Tiffany Michelle is an American poker player and actress, born and raised in Los Angeles, CA.
Michelle gained fame when she was the last woman remaining out of 6,844 players in the 2008 World Series of Poker Championship Event, making $334,534 for her 17th place finish. Statistically, Michelle's finish broke records for the largest field a female has ever conquered in live poker tournament history. Following the tournament, Tiffany signed a sponsorship deal with the poker website UB, becoming a Star Player on the site along with the likes of Phil Hellmuth and Annie Duke.
It was while working as an actress that Tiffany got her start in poker, playing Hollywood house games for fun with fellow actors and industry types. With her knowledge of the game and experience in television she began working as an on-camera host and commentator for poker. In 2006, she worked as an on-air reporter for Bluff Magazine's radio broadcast of the 2006 WSOP on Sirius Satellite Radio and in 2007 became the first ever female on-camera host for Pokernews.com.
As a poker player, Michelle has received a large amount of mainstream media, appearing on the covers of Steppin' Out (magazine), Ocean View Magazine, Rounder Magazine, Casino Player Magazine and being named one of Maxim.com's Top 20 Hottest Celebrity Poker Aces. In 2009, Michelle joined her best friend and fellow WSOP Last Woman Standing poker pro, Maria Ho as the only all-female team on the Emmy Award winning 15th season of CBS reality show The Amazing Race where they finished in sixth place. She has also appeared on the World Series of Blackjack, This Hour Has 22 Minutes, and LA Ink.
Outside of poker and acting, Tiffany is musically inclined. She plays piano and guitar and performs as a singer/songwriter at various Los Angeles venues. In 2010, she launched her own clothing line Tiffany Michelle by Black Ace.
Acting
As an actress, Michelle got her start in theatre at the age of ten, performing with the Lancaster Performing Arts Center in musical adaptations of Pinocchio, Beauty and The Beast, Cinderella and as the star of Alice in Wonderland. During her high school years she competed in several pageants, winning the titles of Miss Teen Newhall 2000, Miss Teen Santa Clarita Valley 2001 and she was voted Miss Congeniality in the 2001 Miss Teenage California pageant.
After finishing a two-year theatre program at College of the Canyons and studying with UCLA's Film & Television department, she transitioned from performing on stage to the screen and appeared in TV episodes of ER, Guilty or Innocent, the 2002 remake of Family Affair and American Dreams. She then landed the starring role opposite One Life to Live's David Fumero in the independent film Carrie's Choice, based on a true story.
