Good Article promotion

Congratulations!
Thanks for all the work you did in making Battle of Bautzen (1945) and Ewelina Hańska certified "Good Articles"! Your work is much appreciated.

In the spirit of celebration, you may wish to review one of the Good Article nominees that someone else nominated, as there is currently a backlog, and any help is appreciated. All the best, – Quadell 13:11, 6 September 2011 (UTC)

Yossele the Holy Miser

Thanks for looking at the DYK for Yossele the Holy Miser. I believe I've now addressed all the concerns you pointed out. Much appreciated. Plot Spoiler (talk) 03:22, 7 September 2011 (UTC)

Piotrus, thank you for your kind welcome to WikiProject Poland! I hope you enjoyed this article. In the following weeks or months, I hope to improve some of the articles related to the history of Jewish life in Poland and add some better images (e.g. Remuh Cemetery, Oświęcim Synagogue, etc.). If there's any suggestions or comments you have to offer, I'm all ears. Plot Spoiler (talk) 03:24, 8 September 2011 (UTC)

DYK? for Bob Beckwith

I went over the references for Bob Beckwith and as I stated at Template:Did you know nominations/Bob Beckwith I went over the references again, made some minor changes as to positioning of refs, and I am pretty sure text is 100% supported by any citations that directly follow it. Could you look over it again, and if there are any specific things that concern you I would appreciate knowing... I provided a source for the hook (its the Yahoo News source in the article). Also, some groups of sentences have the citation at the end of them (i.e. I didn't put the same cite at the end of each sentence, just at the end of a group of sentences directly supported by the citation). Is this okay? I can copy the ref tag onto the end of each sentence but it just didn't seem necessary. Also, I created an ALT hook with the picture. All in all, let me know what you think. Thanks a lot! Moogwrench (talk) 05:29, 7 September 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for the help with this. I may go back and source the sentences individually, just to be on the double safe side. Also, should "plagiarism" be checked off as well? Also, it seems like when you promoted the article you might have forgotten to put the "subst:" between the and "{{" and "DYKsubpage" on the first line of the template page, because it looks like it has broken template code. Sorry to bother you on this. Thanks again! Let me know if there is anything more that needs to be done for this to be put into queue. Moogwrench (talk) 19:55, 7 September 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, I just tested it and this is how to make it work: just edit the subpage template and change "{{DYKsubpage" to "{{subst:DYKsubpage" in the first line at the very top of the edit box, and then it will show up as promoted by you. I would edit it, but then it would show up as promoted by me, something I wouldn't want. :) Thanks! Moogwrench (talk) 22:05, 7 September 2011 (UTC)

DYK for Battle of Clervaux

Updated DYK queryOn 7 September 2011, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Battle of Clervaux, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that the Battle of Clervaux, part of the Battle of the Bulge, has been compared to the Alamo? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Battle of Clervaux. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

Thank you for the great job on fixing and standardizing references for the History of Poland articles. Orczar (talk) 13:02, 8 September 2011 (UTC)

inline references

I am confused. How am I suppose to make an inline reference when I don't know where the person got the information from?

Thanks, Natalie Sebula --Nas132 (talk) 14:25, 8 September 2011 (UTC)

Use of image

Hello,

I am writing to ask for permission to use one of your images (http://commons.wikimedia.org/File:Carnegie_Museum_of_Art_-_Tiffany%27s_lamp.JPG) in a forthcoming publication. If you are happy for the image to be used, we would also require a high resolution file of the image as well. Please can you contact me at rbegum@cambridge.org for further information.

Thank you and with best wishes,

I knew there was a backlog, but I didn't realize it was so big. I'll try to whittle it down over the weekend. Hope everything else is good with you. — Malik Shabazz /Stalk 20:18, 8 September 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for the helpful advice! I will talk to you about this after class tomorrow. The wiki page that I am trying to do inline references for was plagiarized. The person who did the coat wiki page that is where they got there information. --Nas132 (talk) 23:48, 8 September 2011 (UTC)

oh wow! I was wondering why that site had 2's after some sentences like wiki! Thanks for the tip! I will keep looking.

Proposed deletion of Interface: a journal for and about social movements

The article Interface: a journal for and about social movements has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable journal. No third party sources, not indexed in any major selective databases. Does not meet WP:NJournals or WP:GNG

While all contributions to Misplaced Pages are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
