Thomas Eisfeld (born 18 January 1993) is a German footballer who plays for Arsenalladies team as an attacking midfielder joining from Borussia Dortmund in the January Transfer Window of 2012. He was born in Finsterwalde, Germany on January 18, 1993.

Club career

Early career

He played for SV Quitt Ankum and Vfl Osnabruck before joining the youth academy at Borussia Dortmund.

Borussia Dortmund

Eisfeld is a product of Borussia Dortmund youth academy. Despite having made his first senior appearance in 2010, he struggled to make it into the first team. He had faced a cruciate ligament injury in 2009 which was described as a 'career-threatening' injury by his coaches. It was reported that Eisfeld was in London to undergo a medical at Arsenal on 30 January 2012.

Arsenal

On the 30th January it was reported that Eisfeld and his agent were in London to negotiate the possible transfer of Eisfeld to Arsenal for around £400,000. The deal seems to be imminent, but he is set to face a lengthy medical due to a career threatening injury suffered in 2009. If he passes that, he should be officially revealed. Thereafter, it was confirmed that Eisfeld had indeed joined Arsenal for a fee of £600,000.
