Note
Hi Nat,
I noticed that you have been making edits on the Nathalie Handal page, which have been reverted. Instead of simply repeating the edits, can you please discuss them on the article talk page (which you can also access by clicking the discussion tab at the top of the wikipedia article) ?
Also take a look at the wikipedia policy links I have included above, and in case you are the poet Nathalie Handel or related to the her, please be aware on wikipedia's policies on conflict on interest. Again, welcome and hope you'll enjoy your stay here. Abecedare (talk) 20:15, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
Photo needed
While an editor has recently added a picture of you to the Nathalie Handal article, the copyright has not been properly cleared, and it will probably be removed. See WP:COPYREQ if you own a photograph of yourself that you would be willing to release under a free license. If you leave me a message I could assist with the technical details. Thanks, EdJohnston (talk) 00:16, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
Please discuss your edits
Hello NatHandal. If you are editing your own biography, you should be willing to discuss the changes you are making with other editors. I didn't see anything obviously wrong about the two items you just removed from the article, and they seem to have reliable sources. Can you please explain why you removed that material? Hello everyone. I am terribly sorry but I do not quite get how to respond to all of you and I hope this is the way. Until today, I did not know I had messages, otherwise, I would have answered... so please accept my apologies. And thank you for the email letting me know to check the discussion page.
I thank you so much for all of you amazing and hard work and truly appreciate your assistence.
I see you made the chnages and I thank you. If you want any more explanation re my change request, I am happy to provide it. And re: your photo question/yes you can use it.
I will continue to try to navigate WIKI and answer all your questions. Again, thank you so very much. NatHandal
You got mail
I picked up the OTRS ticket and gave you a few pointers, hopefully Ed Johnston will also be disposed to help, since he's been friendly here. Feel free to ask for advice, I know Misplaced Pages is a confusing place. Stay calm, resist the temptation to feel got at and hopefully all will be well. - Hello NatHandal. Please consider allowing regular editors to contact you by email. You can do this by going into Special:Preferences and entering an email adress. This does not expose your address to the general public, but it allows you to be reminded of things in case you don't come to Misplaced Pages very often. If you need any assistance you can leave a request here on the Talk page. EdJohnston (talk) 00:00, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
Recent edits
Nathalie, I noticed that you made several edits to your biographical article Nathalie Handal. Unfortunately, your edits removed all sources from the article, and the resultant page was inconsistent with wikipedia's manual of style; for these reasons your edits had to be reverted. If you have any concerns about the current article, please raise them here, on the article talk page, or even email me about them, and we will certainly try to address those concerns. Regards. Hello NatHandal. We welcome your contributions to Misplaced Pages, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Natalie Handal, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.
All editors are required to comply with Misplaced Pages's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about following reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.
If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:
- Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
- Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
- Avoid linking to the Misplaced Pages article or website of your organization in other articles (see Misplaced Pages:Spam).
- Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Misplaced Pages's content policies.
Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Misplaced Pages when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. GabrielF (talk) 00:08, 23 March 2012 (UTC)
