Welcome to Misplaced Pages!
|
January 2011
Welcome to Misplaced Pages. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Misplaced Pages, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Vergina, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. A Macedonian, a Greek. Macedonia (region)
Could you please supply a reliable source for your second revert? You have reverted against two separate editors. THis is not constructive. Thank youGingervlad (talk) 00:10, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Misplaced Pages articles, as you did to Alexander the Great. Doing so violates Misplaced Pages's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Charles (talk) 23:02, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Misplaced Pages, as you did at Alexander the Great, you may be blocked from editing. Charles (talk) 23:10, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Alexander the Great. Users who edit disruptively or refuse to collaborate with others may be blocked if they continue.
In particular the three-revert rule states that:
- Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
- Editors violating the rule will usually be blocked for 24 hours for a first incident.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes. Work towards wording, and content that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Favonian (talk) 23:14, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring, as you did at Alexander the Great. Once the block has expired, you're welcome to make useful contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Favonian (talk) 23:25, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
Alexander the Great
I see you have recently been blocked for edit warring, so you should be familiar with the policies regarding that. Nevertheless I would advice you to read Misplaced Pages:BOLD, revert, discuss cycle before proceeding. --Saddhiyama (talk) 00:40, 22 January 2011 (UTC)
