Please consider this your second warning. We can add back information to ] that is sourced to major newspapers, magazines, etc. Gossip blogs are typically not covering encyclopedic information. Things like her views on the son of a television personality's hunting habits are not encyclopedic. We can use things like People magazine and major newspapers if they covered the racial slurs etc. The rest of it is not important. 6 weeks in a 20-year career needs to be proportionally covered. That is way too much detail. ] (]) 18:42, 8 May 2012 (UTC) |

here on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!
Julie Chen
Instead of making unprovable proclamations about a subject's importance as you did on Julie Chen, use facts and attribution to demonstrate that importance, and also make the language a bit formal. --Abhijay (☎ Talk) (✐ Deeds) 09:13, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
Your edits to Julie Chen, AIV etc
Hi 173.0.254.229. I've declined the report at AIV because I'm happy that your edits were a good faith attempt to add content to Misplaced Pages and don't meet our definition of vandalism. However, Abhijay was correct in their initial removal of your edits. Potentially controversial information about living people must meet the highest sourcing standards as set out in our policy on biographies of living people. You have now provided a source, but although the information remains in the article it may yet be removed again. It seems questionable to me whether or not perezhilton.com meets the required standard; to retain that information you may need to be prepared to justify it as a reliable source, which might involve showing that it's been written by an reputable author who is an expert in their field, is subject to fact-checking and/or peer review, and other requirements. It might also be worth attributing it in the text (ie "According to perezhilton.com, ..."), which makes it clear to readers that we're reporting the opinion of a single source. Hope this helps, EyeSerene 10:26, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
