File permission problem with File:Akumajo Special - Boku dracula-kun! box art.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Akumajo Special - Boku dracula-kun! box art.jpg, which you've sourced to http://www.giantbomb.com/. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Misplaced Pages:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Misplaced Pages:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Misplaced Pages:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Misplaced Pages's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.  Ronhjones  21:53, 29 May 2012 (UTC)

Edits to Metro 2034

I have removed a section that you recently added to Metro 2034 because it had no reliable sources cited and could not be verified. I also added a reference section, which must be done whenever you add a citation to the article. Please see WP:HELP for more information on how to add a reference section or properly cite your editing. Thank you. Vertium (talk to me) 11:13, 29 June 2012 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:Metro2034bookcover.jpg)

Thanks for uploading File:Metro2034bookcover.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Misplaced Pages. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Misplaced Pages (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:43, 7 July 2012 (UTC)

Castlevania template

Sir, I am extremely sorry for causing you trouble but i do not see this as disruptive editing because I am only trying to correct the template and update it with latest information. You cannot divide a game series into a consoles games and arcades games section if the gameplay is similar. I am trying to divide the series into the original series, the reboot series and the spin - off games. I do not mean to cause any vandalism. Please feel free to talk on this matter as I think my edit of the template was correct. And I assure you that till this matter is resolved I will not make any future edits on the template. Thank you.

Ignore the warnings, it's just the anon trying to intimidate you instead of actually engaging in productive discussion about he format of the template, while tendetiously reverting to an outdated arrangement that I've already debunked. It's utterly inappropriate behavior. As for the split by reboot, I do think it's too in-universe for Misplaced Pages's real-world perspective, and would be too small of a section of the template for a balanced appearance. oknazevad (talk) 15:58, 11 July 2012 (UTC)

Thank you sir. I have noted that your format is much more correct. However your link to Lords Of Shadow - Mirror Of Fate and Lords of shadow 2 is wrong so i have corrected it and now it takes you directly towards the sequel section of Lords of shadow instead of showing the whole article on Lords of Shadow itself. Thank you and have a nice day.

Hey, since you've been editing the template so much, I was hoping that you could read this and offer your opinion so that we can all work out something reasonable together. Byakuya Truelight (talk) 07:54, 13 July 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for July 15

Hi. When you recently edited True Crime (series), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page PC (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Thank you for informing me. It has been corrected now.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 11:52, 15 July 2012 (UTC)

Template: Wasteland series

Please do not edit Template:Wasteland series again without discussing it on that page's Talk page. There is a clear consensus against the change that you are making. There is also precedent for not having a 'cancelled games' section - see the XCOM template, for example. Consensus is a key part of how Misplaced Pages works, and you are going against it.Euchrid (talk) 03:21, 21 July 2012 (UTC)

I did not add anything new just changed the second section's name as Fountain of Dreams is not a game of wasteland series and neither is Fallout. I will not add anything but stop threatening me. It is just unacceptable. Even I can block you or Niemti for edit warring but I didn't. At least behave in a civilized way. --MegaCyanide666 (talk) 16:05, 21 July 2012 (UTC)

I'm sorry, what do you think that I threatened you with? All I asked is that you discuss changes before making them. When an article or template falls into dispute, as this one is, the only way to make good, stable changes is via discussion. As far as threats go, it seems to me that you're the one threatening to block other people, which unless you're an admin, you can't do. Euchrid (talk) 01:53, 22 July 2012 (UTC)

I am not talking about you I am talking about Niemti that idiot of a buffoon who is daring to threaten me. And who says if I am not an admin I can't block you. Admins can just block people straight away while for users they can only recommend other users to be blocked. --MegaCyanide666 (talk) 16:05, 21 July 2012 (UTC)

In that case can I suggest that you indent your comments using the colon symbol? It makes these conversations a great deal easier to follow. I would also point out to you that when a user takes a complaint to an admin, all users involved, included the originator, are investigated. You might want to bear that, and the policy regarding remaining civil, if you decide to go down that route. Euchrid (talk) 07:49, 22 July 2012 (UTC)

Don't remove warnings from your talk page. Don't call other users names, such as "that idiot of a buffoon". --Niemti (talk) 03:20, 23 July 2012 (UTC)

I am sorry but you're warning of blocking me was without any proper reason. As i told you I'm new so you should have atleast told me first not keep on reverting the edits and I would have stopped instead of directly threatning me. Euchrid told me not to keep reverting edits as it is a violation of policy and creates a lot of mess and I stopped right there because I did'nt know anything about template talk earlier. And lastly about calling names you were too calling me a "kid" and insulting me. --MegaCyanide666 (talk) 09:17, 23 July 2012 (UTC)

Civility

Regarding this edit, he was blocked for using an account other than his old banned one, nothing to do with your disagreement. Please read and respect WP:CIVIL and WP:NPA. Thanks, bridies (talk) 04:29, 28 July 2012 (UTC)

Atleast, you first inform someone of the wrong they've done instead of threatening to block them straight away. He was threatening me again and again didn't you notice that? --MegaCyanide666 (talk) 04:38, 28 July 2012 (UTC)

That's actually just a copy-pasted message up there. He couldn't have blocked you personally (not being an admin), but there's a process to have editors blocked if they revert too many times in one day (see WP:3RR for full explanation of this rule/process). He was implicitly threatening to report you for "edit warring" (WP:3RR) basically. The way to avoid that is to discuss disagreements politely rather than just reverting over and over. Some of the comments from Niemti/Euchrid above are a bit lame, but refrain from outright insults like calling someone "a fool of a buffoon" (the second message is another copy-paste essentially threatening to report you for that; again, better not to do it). In future, if you think someone is attacking somehow, you might try Misplaced Pages:Wikiquette assistance. bridies (talk) 05:12, 28 July 2012 (UTC)
Alright I understand.--MegaCyanide666 (talk) 06:06, 31 July 2012 (UTC)

Mentioning prices

Hi MegaCyanide666,

Thanks for your edits. I had to do a partial revert to your recent edit to the article on Rage per WP:PRICE - there is no real reason to mention the $9,99 price for its DLC. Thanks, and happy editing! --Soetermans. T / C 13:02, 30 July 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for you edit on the prices and information. Happy editing! --MegaCyanide666 (talk) 13:05, 31 July 2012 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Khitai (Conan)

The article Khitai (Conan) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Contains only plot information, no indication of any real world notability

While all contributions to Misplaced Pages are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Rorshacma (talk) 17:50, 7 August 2012 (UTC)

Nomination of Khitai (Conan) for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Khitai (Conan) is suitable for inclusion in Misplaced Pages according to Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Khitai (Conan) until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Rorshacma (talk) 16:05, 8 August 2012 (UTC)

Your behavior on the Khitai AfD

Hi, I noticed things aren't going so well at the AfD, so I have a couple hints that might help:

  • First, you seem to be taking this AfD way too personally. I have already told you so, but that one of your article ended up at AfD is not in any way a negative judgment either on you as a contributor, or on your article. It's just that we have several standards for articles and what they should be (see pages like General Notability Guideline, What Misplaced Pages is not, Writing about fiction). It happens that the Khitai article doesn't correspond to that and is likely to be deleted. If that happens, again don't take it as a personal aggression because it isn't. And while you are of course entitled to defend the article and edit it so that it gets closer to our standards during the AfD, you shouldn't do so in a too personal and aggressive way. You don't command people to "remove the deletion notice right now" as soon as you add a source, you just wait to see if people agree that your edits make the article notable or not. Again, you cannot force or demand people to agree. And even if you continue editing the article, that might not be enough to bring it to our standards, and that's a possibility you have to accept. And in case the article is deleted, it's not the end of the world, you will learn to write articles with our guidelines in mind now that you know about them , and you'll see that maybe content that is not acceptable for a stand alone article can be a part of a more general article.
  • I don't know what is the story between you and user Niemti, but on Misplaced Pages you have to avoid personal attacks and always have a civil behavior. Even if you're in conflit with a user, you don't tell that user that he was "not invited to give his opinion". AfDs are, just like the rest of Misplaced Pages, open to anyone, and that includes people we like and people we don't. It is not up to you to decide who is gonna give his opinion or not. And so don't accuse other people of being "bullies" (that's a personal attack) and you never, ever remove their comments in talk pages or AfD discussions, doing so repeatedly could get you blocked. You also don't throw around accusations of sockpuppetry, even if the user really seems to have been a sockpuppet, administrator decided to unban him because of his good editing (Misplaced Pages:Administrators'_noticeboard/Archive238#User:HanzoHattori.2C_now_editing_as_Niemti:_discussion_regarding_un-banning), so it's not up to you to accuse the user and remove his comments. By the way, admins in this AN/I case have warned you for your behavior regarding niemti, I think should listen to them, what you did in the AfD isn't going in the right direction.Folken de Fanel (talk) 12:00, 11 August 2012 (UTC)
Well, I'm not an administrator or used to giving assitance. Others will surely be able to help you more than I am. I can only say a few things: first, if you have an on-going conflict with Niemti, then you have to try to solve the issue using calm discussion, with help from other users if you can't make it work on your own. But in no way should you let your conflict have an impact on Misplaced Pages articles, talk pages or discussions (like the AfD). You should also realize that it usually takes 2 participants to have a conflict, and I didn't see any problem with Niemti's comment in the AfD. You have to learn to leave personal conflicts outside of regular contributions on WP, and from my uninvolved point of view, you were aggressive toward Niemti, not the other way around, and no matter how you think it was deserved, you should never have done that. If the issue you had with Niemti didn't escalate before, then you should just drop it instead of being provocative, which could create another incident bewteen you two. Also, Misplaced Pages has a general policy of being patient and understanding with newbies, so in spite of Niemti's warnings, you probably wouldn't have been blocked for small incidents. If you consider there is still an ongoing problem between you two, then reading Misplaced Pages:Dispute resolution can help you. But you have to understand that if you try too much to get your revenge on Niemti, the process could backfire on you. Sometimes dropping the stick is the best solution.Folken de Fanel (talk) 14:28, 12 August 2012 (UTC)
Did you even read what I said he's trying to bully me. I tell what he actually did. He left a comment on my article, something which he doesn't even have any knowledge about and I don't think he's even taken a look at the article. This way he tries to annoy me. The same way he did on Castlevania. He knows I get angered quickly and he's taking advantage of that. He talked in such a way which won't seem offensive at all to you but would be clearly offensive to me. And as I earlier said I personally attacked him because he was threatning to block me for a simple mistake without even informing me. Doesn't that clearly tell he's a bully. --MegaCyanide666 (talk) 14:42, 12 August 2012 (UTC)
As you said yourself, "I get angered quickly", and that's a huge part of the problem. Whatever happens, you will have to manage your anger because Misplaced Pages is not a battledground. User bridies gave you very good pieces of advice above (User_talk:MegaCyanide666#Civility) so you should follow them instead of carrying your personal conflicts to editorial discussions like AfDs.Folken de Fanel (talk) 15:44, 12 August 2012 (UTC)
Well then, maybe you're right. I'll try to control my anger and be patient. Anger does not get you anywhere. Thanks for the advice! --MegaCyanide666 (talk) 16:01, 12 August 2012 (UTC)

Civility

Hey, just calm down, okay? These edits to a user's talk page are not OK. Regardless of who deleted the article, you're crossing the line on acceptable ways of interacting with other users on Misplaced Pages.

Bridles and Folken de Fanel gave you very good advice above about civility and not to personally attack any editor (see User_talk:MegaCyanide666#Civility and User talk:MegaCyanide666#Your behavior on the Khitai AfD), since the policy applies to everyone here and as Wikipedians, we should comment on content, not contributors. Also, remember that Misplaced Pages is not a battleground, as it is not the place to hold grudges or implore personal conflicts. As such, you need not to push users' buttons or taunt them either. Lastly, Misplaced Pages is an encyclopedia where everyone can edit collaboratively.

Please stop, reengage in a civil and constructive manner, in accordinace with the five pillars. Thank you, Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 16:48, 18 August 2012 (UTC)
