If you're sure about vanishing, please follow the instructions provided at Misplaced Pages:Courtesy vanishing. No need to feel bad about being blocked. Lots of people get blocked. The probable reason they denied your request is to vanish you have to be in "good standing". I agree with Anna (thanks for pitching in) that you should wait until your block has expired, but I don't know if even then your request will be granted.--Bbb23 (talk) 23:55, 15 October 2012 (UTC)

What do you intend to work on, Michael? Before the block, you mostly focused on categories, and a lot of editors disagreed with the way you categorized articles, which is pretty much what got you in trouble. Michael, this is tiresome. You wanted to vanish. You didn't want to vanish. Now you appear to want to vanish. You're not entitled to a "clean start". You made some mistakes. Hopefully, you've learned from them and will edit constructively. But just because you don't want "that material on there anymore" doesn't mean you can remove it. If you want to make another request to vanish, go ahead, but you can't remove the material. In addition, even if you were allowed to vanish (unlikely, in my view), I don't believe the material you are removing would go away.--Bbb23 (talk) 01:04, 17 October 2012 (UTC)

Hi Michael. If you wish to continue editing, you are welcome to do so. If you would like to go I can archive this page and add a "Retired" notice. That means that I can move all the content on this page to a subpage. The information can still be found if one looks, but this page will be blanked. I can also add the "Retired" notice to your userpage too. You will still have the ability to edit, but these pages will be cleared. I suggest you think long and hard and make up your mind what you want, Michael, because I don't think you really know. I came within a millimeter of reblocking you, not just because of the disruption you caused on talk pages and noticeboards, but because your only article edit since being unblocked has been to add a category to the Nicolas Cage article, which flagrantly violates your unblock agreement. How can I, or any other admin, accept that you're acting in good faith when you do something like that? And you can't keep disrupting the project and apologizing. At some point, the disruption is too much, and the apologies are hollow. Maybe there are reasons why you fail to grasp what peope are telling you, but Misplaced Pages is not a venue for you to work out your difficulties. I was just going to mention the Nicolas Cage article to you. I was just reading it and I saw it didn't have the golden globe award he won. I want to go now.
